Architect, build, and scale automated testing frameworks across mobile, web, and connected TV platforms and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines. | At least 5 years QA experience with 3 years leading automation for multi-platform mobile or CTV products, proficiency in building test frameworks and CI/CD pipelines, and streaming video technology experience. | SENIOR QA AUTOMATION ENGINEER Local Now | Remote (United States) ABOUT LOCAL NOW Local Now is a free, ad-supported streaming service delivering local news, weather, sports, and lifestyle programming to viewers across virtually every connected device. As part of Allen Media Group, we operate at meaningful scale across mobile, smart TVs, streaming sticks, set-top boxes, and the web. We are now investing in a ground-up rebuild of our streaming platform with a privacy-first architecture, modern shared-code strategy, and the engineering rigor needed to grow sustainably. We build for audiences who expect frictionless playback on any device, and for advertisers who depend on us to deliver reliable, high-quality monetization. The work is tangible: every improvement we make is felt by millions of viewers. THE ROLE We are hiring a Senior QA Automation Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and scaling of our automated testing strategy as our LN 2.0 streaming platform launches and stays exceptional across every device family we ship on. You will work closely with our QA Manager and the engineering team to architect test frameworks, design test coverage, and drive end-to-end automation for a product where playback quality and ad reliability directly affect business outcomes. This is a senior individual-contributor role with high technical ownership. You will be the foundational automation lead in the new QA practice we are building, establishing the tools, standards, and pipelines that will scale with our platform. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR * 5+ years of QA experience on consumer software, with at least 3 years leading automation efforts on multi-platform mobile and/or CTV products. * Proven track record of architecting automated test frameworks from scratch for web, mobile, or CTV using modern tools (e.g., Playwright, Appium, Detox, XCUITest, Espresso, or Robot Framework). * Hands-on experience building and maintaining automated CI/CD test pipelines. * Streaming video QA experience — playback, manifests, ad pods, DRM, QoE. * Hands-on testing and automation familiarity on Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Android TV, Tizen, or Vizio platforms. * Strong analytical and bug-investigation skills; able to isolate environmental, timing, and platform-specific issues. * Clear written communication; excellent at writing reproducible bug reports and concise automation docs and test plans. * Self-directed technical leader who thrives in a remote, distributed engineering culture. NICE TO HAVE * Experience with consent / privacy testing or compliance-driven regression suites. * Hands-on experience using AI tools like Cursor and Claude to accelerate test authoring, triage, and analysis. * Experience setting up physical or cloud-based device farms (e.g., AWS Device Farm, Sauce Labs, HeadSpin) for automated CTV/mobile testing.

Compensation$70K - 130K a year

Build, operate, and optimize cloud-native infrastructure on AWS and Snowflake with SRE best practices. | Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Snowflake, scripting languages, CI/CD pipelines, and security compliance. | We Breathe Life Into Data At Komodo Health, our mission is to reduce the global burden of disease. And we believe that smarter use of data is essential to this mission. That’s why we built the Healthcare Map — the industry’s largest, most complete, precise view of the U.S. healthcare system — by combining de-identified, real-world patient data with innovative algorithms and decades of clinical experience. The Healthcare Map serves as our foundation for a powerful suite of software applications, helping us answer healthcare’s most complex questions for our partners. Across the healthcare ecosystem, we’re helping our clients unlock critical insights to track detailed patient behaviors and treatment patterns, identify gaps in care, address unmet patient needs, and reduce the global burden of disease. As we pursue these goals, it remains essential to us that we stay grounded in our values: be awesome, seek growth, deliver “wow,” and enjoy the ride. At Komodo, you will be joining a team of ambitious, supportive Dragons with diverse backgrounds but a shared passion to deliver on our mission to reduce the burden of disease — and enjoy the journey along the way. The Opportunity at Komodo Health Komodo Health is rapidly growing and expanding both our cloud infrastructure and our data platform while adopting SRE best practices. You will join the Infrastructure team, which builds, operates, and continuously improves the cloud-native stack (AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions) and the foundational systems that power our data ecosystem, including Snowflake for data warehousing. Beyond keeping these systems reliable, scalable, and secure, the team drives data governance, cost and FinOps discipline, and compliance alignment (HIPAA, SOC2). We work in an international context toward one goal: reduce the burden of disease. This role exists to keep Komodo's cloud and data platform reliable, secure, and cost-efficient, so that data access, processing, and analysis stay seamless and performant for the teams that depend on them. Your work spans two core areas: our AWS cloud infrastructure, built and operated as code (IaC), and our Snowflake data platform, which you help operate and optimize. You will partner closely with engineering, data, and security teams, meeting the security and compliance demands of a rapidly evolving healthcare data landscape. Looking back on your first 12 months at Komodo Health, you will have accomplished… Operated and optimized our Snowflake environment in production: right-sized warehouses, monitored usage and cost, and resolved adhoc internal requests and query-performance issues. Contributed to measurable cloud and Snowflake cost reduction through right-sizing, resource tagging and cost attribution, and eliminating idle or overprovisioned resources. Delivered and operated production AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure through Terraform and GitOps (ArgoCD), reducing manual toil and improving reliability. Strengthened our security and compliance posture (least-privilege IAM and RBAC, network and secrets hygiene) in line with HIPAA and SOC2 expectations. Strengthened observability and on-call readiness, joining the shared US-business-hours rotation and improving alerting and runbooks You will accomplish these outcomes through the following responsibilities… Operate and optimize Snowflake: monitor warehouse consumption and cost, administer RBAC and metadata tagging for cost attribution, and triage query-performance issues and internal requests. Build and operate AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure as code (Terraform), deployed via GitOps (ArgoCD). Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) for application and infrastructure delivery. Drive infrastructure optimization across performance, scalability, and cost (FinOps practices, tagging, attribution). Harden cloud infrastructure: IAM and RBAC, networking, secrets management, and compliance alignment. Build and maintain centralized observability (metrics, logs, alerting). Participate in the shared US-business-hours on-call rotation and collaborate closely with developer, security, and data teams What you bring to Komodo Health (required): Hands-on Snowflake (or comparable cloud data warehouse) experience in a production setting: SQL, warehouse operations, and query-performance fundamentals. Hands-on experience building and operating cloud infrastructure on AWS in production, with attention to security and cost. Infrastructure-as-code proficiency with Terraform (you think IaC from inception). Experience with containerization and Kubernetes (Docker, k8s). Scripting and automation skills in Python, Go, or Bash, plus experience with CI/CD pipelines and at least one tool (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, Harness, etc.). Hands-on experience with AI-assisted engineering tools (e.g. Claude, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, AWS Bedrock) and sound judgment about when and how to apply them safely. Strong collaboration and communication skills, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Expectations of AI Use in this role (required): This is an AI-native role. We expect you to work fluently with AI coding assistants and platforms (such as Claude, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or AWS Bedrock) to accelerate Terraform and script authoring, generate and maintain runbooks and documentation, and speed up log and query analysis, while reviewing and validating all generated output before it reaches production. Additional skills and experience we’ll prioritize… Deep hands-on Snowflake administration: warehouse sizing, resource monitoring, RBAC administration, and query optimization. Advanced SQL and data-warehouse internals (clustering, partitioning, caching, execution plans). Experience with big-data and orchestration tools (Spark, Airflow, dbt). FinOps or cloud cost-optimization experience. Familiarity with data governance and compliance requirements such as HIPAA or SOC2. #LI-Remote The pay range for each job posting reflects a minimum and maximum range of annual base pay that we reasonably expect to pay for this position within the US. We carefully consider multiple business-related factors when determining compensation, including job-related skills, work experience, geographic work location, relevant training and certifications, business needs and market demands. The starting annual base pay for this role is listed below. This position may be eligible for performance-based bonuses as determined in the Company’s sole discretion and in accordance with a written agreement or plan. This role may also be eligible for equity awards. In addition, this role is eligible for benefits including, but not limited to, comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance; flexible time off and holidays; 401(k) with company match; disability insurance and life insurance; and leaves of absence in accordance with applicable state and local laws and regulations and company policy. San Francisco Bay Area and New York City: $181,000—$220,000 USD All Other US Locations: $157,000—$195,000 USD Komodo's AI Standard At Komodo, we're not just witnessing the AI revolution – we're leading it.
