Job Overview We are seeking a strategic, analytical, and execution-oriented Operations Manager to help lead our global vendor network, optimize fulfillment capacity, and drive operational efficiency across our make-on-demand business. This role is ideal for a critical thinker who can balance customer expectations with practical execution, ensuring our vendor operations can scale with business growth while maintaining high service levels and cost efficiency. The Operations Manager will play a key role in shaping and improving end-to-end operational processes, including vendor management, capacity planning, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives. This individual must be comfortable working with complex global partnerships, leveraging data to guide decision-making, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure operations remain aligned with evolving business priorities. PLEASE NOTE: Candidates must be local to or willing to relocate to the Calabasas area as we operate on a hybrid work model (3 days onsite, 2 remote) What You’ll Do Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day global vendor operations across multiple sites, apps, and production partners. Partner closely with vendors to ensure performance consistently meets service, quality, and delivery expectations. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure operational workflows support changing business demands and customer needs. Build and maintain strong vendor relationships through regular business reviews, weekly meetings, and ongoing communication around new initiatives, operational updates, and recurring issues. Monitor vendor capacity and performance to proactively identify risks, resolve issues, and support business continuity. Lead data-driven efforts to improve reporting, streamline processes, and enhance issue identification and resolution. Analyze operational metrics and trends to uncover opportunities for efficiency, quality improvement, and cost savings. Present key updates, business challenges, and operational accomplishments to leadership and executive stakeholders. Support cross-functional initiatives and special projects aimed at improving scalability, customer experience, and operational performance. Drive continuous improvement across vendor operations, fulfillment processes, and internal workflows. What You Should Have Skills, Qualifications, and Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive experience in operations, supply chain, vendor management, or a related function, preferably within manufacturing, e-commerce, consumer products, or fulfillment-driven environments. Proven experience managing global vendor relationships and supporting complex operational processes. Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience tracking and improving key performance metrics such as On-Time Delivery (OTD), reprints, refunds, defect rates, and customer feedback trends. Experience working with ERP systems, supply chain platforms, reporting tools, and analytics dashboards. Demonstrated ability to use data to identify root causes, drive decision-making, and improve operational outcomes. Strong vendor management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence partners and drive accountability. Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and presentation skills, including experience presenting findings and recommendations. Proven ability to work cross-functionally and build alignment across teams in a high-growth, evolving business. Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution. The compensation range for this position is $70,000 - $120,000 annual salary. Reporting directly to the VP of Engineering, this engineer will play a critical role in architecting, developing, troubleshooting, and maintaining our LAMP-based web applications and AWS infrastructure. What You Should Have Skills, Qualifications, and Requirements • Senior-Level Full-Stack Engineering Experience: 7+ years of professional experience building and operating large-scale web applications, including substantial hands-on experience with the LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP). • Strong AWS & Cloud Operations Expertise: Deep hands-on experience with AWS services and production cloud environments, including EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, networking, scaling, monitoring, and infrastructure troubleshooting. • Ecommerce & High-Traffic Website Experience: Experience supporting high-volume consumer-facing websites or ecommerce platforms, with a strong understanding of scalability, uptime, performance optimization, and operational reliability. • Production Troubleshooting Expertise: Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex production issues under pressure, including database replication issues, performance degradation, infrastructure failures, deployment issues, and site outages. • Distributed Systems & Database Knowledge: Strong understanding of distributed web architectures, database performance tuning, replication strategies, caching, queuing systems, and fault-tolerant system design. • Global Team Collaboration: Experience working effectively with offshore or globally distributed engineering teams, with strong communication, coordination, and cross-cultural collaboration skills. • Chinese Language Skills: Ability to communicate in Mandarin (spoken or written) is highly desirable to facilitate collaboration with our China-based engineering team. • Engineering Best Practices: Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals including Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, observability, code review practices, and secure development standards. • Ownership Mentality: Self-directed engineer with strong operational instincts, excellent judgment, and the ability to independently own critical technical initiatives from design through production support. • Technical Leadership: Demonstrated ability to influence engineering direction, mentor developers, and drive technical excellence through hands-on leadership rather than direct people management.
