Role Overview: As a Senior Forecasting Analyst at PlanetArt, you will play a critical role in driving data-driven decision-making by developing accurate demand forecasts and providing actionable insights. Your expertise will support strategic planning and operational efficiency, ensuring the company meets customer demand while optimizing inventory and resources. What You'll Do: - You will analyze historical sales data and market trends to develop reliable demand forecasts. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, and supply chain to align forecasting with business objectives. - You will design and implement forecasting models and tools to improve accuracy and efficiency. - You will monitor forecast performance and adjust models based on changing market conditions. - You will prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders. - You will identify risks and opportunities related to demand variability and inventory management. - You will support the development of inventory planning strategies to minimize stockouts and excess inventory. - You will mentor junior analysts and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the forecasting team. What You Bring: - You have 5+ years of experience in forecasting, demand planning, or a related analytical role. - You possess strong proficiency in statistical forecasting methods and tools such as SAS, R, or Python. - You have advanced skills in Excel and experience with ERP or forecasting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle). - You demonstrate excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. - You have strong communication skills to effectively present complex data to non-technical stakeholders. - You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, or a related field. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience in the personalized products or e-commerce industry. - Knowledge of machine learning techniques applied to forecasting. - Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI. - A Master’s degree or relevant certification in forecasting or analytics.
