Scope and stagework into well-defined milestones to avoid a monolithic deliverable. Deliver software on-time and is constantly working to make accurate estimates and deliver on those estimates. Take initiative to identify and solve important problems, coordinating with others on cross-cutting technical issues. Identify and proactively tackle technical debt before it grows into debt that requires significant up-front work to resolve. Understand the tradeoffs between technical, analytical and product needs and generate solutions that take all of these needs into account. Identify and propose strategies around technical problems affecting the team, communicate standards and get buy-in on solutions. Additional duties and responsibilities as necessary. What you'll do: • Establish and manage carrier performance tracking and carrier performance improvement initiatives, which includes coordinating carrier quarterly reviews to hold carriers accountable. • Identify coverage or service gaps in defined carrier portfolio / network and work to evaluate prospective carriers. • Identify bottlenecks in carrier package flows and partner with carriers to improve service levels. • Create processes and educate internal teams to ensure continuous flow of packages through the carriers' supply chain. • Identify trends in service disruptions and work with carriers to mitigate (i.e. reduce lost and damage rates). • Own pick-up / drop-off master schedules with carriers. • Support ShipBob freight specialists as needed. • Identify additional reporting tools and requirements needed to effectively manage carrier portfolio. • Create transportation related SOPs as needed. • Identify gaps in label generation/carrier selection and work with Easypost and Tech Team to reduce the number of shipments bouncing back. • Support ad hoc carrier requests. • Comply to all food safety and compliance policies and regulations. • Additional duties and responsibilities as necessary. What you'll bring to the table: • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Project Management/Engineering. • 3-4 years of experience in ecommerce and shipping industry. • Knowledge of major US parcel shipping carrier operations, required. • Excellent computer and data skills, most importantly in Microsoft Excel. • Knowledge of international shipping (DDP, DDU, de minimis) is a plus.
