Role Overview: As a Business Development Representative for the Mid Market segment, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth by identifying and engaging potential clients. This role requires a strategic thinker who can build strong relationships and effectively communicate ShipBob's value proposition to mid-market businesses. What You'll Do: - You will identify and qualify new business opportunities within the mid-market segment. - You will conduct outbound prospecting through calls, emails, and social media to generate leads. - You will collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop targeted outreach strategies. - You will manage and maintain accurate records of all sales activities in the CRM system. - You will participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on product knowledge and industry trends. - You will build and nurture relationships with potential clients to understand their logistics needs. - You will support the sales team in closing deals by providing timely and relevant information. - You will meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets. What You Bring: - 2+ years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in logistics or technology sectors. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage mid-market clients. - Proficiency in CRM software such as Salesforce or HubSpot. - Ability to work in a hybrid environment with onsite presence in Chicago three days a week. - Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset and excellent organizational skills. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience in e-commerce fulfillment or supply chain management. - Familiarity with data analytics tools to assess market trends. - Previous success in meeting or exceeding sales quotas. - Knowledge of the Chicago market and business landscape.
