The Opportunity: The Manager, Internal Audit is a working manager, performing and managing internal audit assignments throughout the company, working independently or under the supervision of Audit Management. This position will work as part of an audit team to conduct audits, evaluate risks, test controls, and review processes related to financial data and systems, internal controls, department procedures, and compliance with regulatory rules and company policies. The audit manager will assist with tracking of open audit findings and facilitate response generation, information gathering, testing evidence, and escalation of prior findings with the Audit Management. There will be exposure to senior management throughout the organization. Additionally, Audit Managers will work closely and oversee the management and staff from third party organizations providing internal audit support. Day in the Life: Perform internal risk assessments under the direction of Audit Management Plan internal audits by understanding organization objectives, structure, policies, processes, internal controls, and external regulations; identifying risk areas; preparing audit scope and objectives Interpret regulations as they pertain to information systems, platforms, and IT operating processes, practices and procedures Evaluate information technology (IT) infrastructure, data flows/processes, and operating procedures in accordance with established standards identification of key controls, control design, and/or control deficiencies through the development of risks and controls matrix, including the reliability and effectiveness of internal information systems controls Create process documentation, including process narratives and flow charts, to assist with audit planning and execution Create audit program and testing procedures at the entity, process, transaction or application levels, including assessing controls and potential risks Assess risks and internal controls by identifying areas of non-compliance; evaluating manual and automated processes; identifying process weaknesses and inefficiencies and technical issues Maintain open communication with management - communicates audit progress and findings by providing information in status meetings; highlighting unresolved issues; reviewing working papers; preparing final audit reports Partner with internal clients to define action plans for deficiencies identified Prepare and present reports that reflect audit’s results and document process Assist Audit Management and co-sourced internal audit partner to coordinate and schedule audit meetings Monitor management’s completion of the actions agreed upon in the remediation process; escalate, support, and provide support when needed or requested by Audit Management Prepare and/or review Audit reports and mange revisions Assist business owners in defining gaps or process deficiencies and associated action plans for remediation Determine and recommend improvements during implementation of IT system changes or upgrades Provide direction and leadership to staff; guide, coach, mentor and develop staff ensuring compliance with processes and procedure Handle interviewing, hiring, promotions, transfers, performance appraisals, compensation, counseling and termination of staff Develop and maintain staff by applying the necessary training and leadership that will allow internal growth and advancement Direct staff, to ensure that all duties are performed according to department performance standards Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology and/or business or related field required. One or more an audit professional certifications, such as CPA, CIA or CISA or equivalent audit credentials required. Seven (7) years related work experience in auditing (public accounting or internal audit experience) required. Five (5) years’ experience working in another functional area such as accounting, risk management, IT, or other business or operational position preferred. Experience with payment systems and financial services related to the credit/debit card industry preferred. Day in the Life Compiles monthly financial reports and management reports. Assists with interpreting the results. Performs financial analysis on a monthly basis to identify any variances, determine the reason for such variance, and provide recommendation to eliminate/ reduce such variances. Completes the rollup of the consolidated monthly financial forecast. Monitors and analyzes actual spend against approved budgets for capital projects, with emphasis on software development initiatives. Prepares and updates cost of capital assumption for use in ROI, NPV, and IRR on a periodic basis (e.g., annually). Maintains and updates the standard ROI questionnaire. Acts as finance representative on product launch teams, as needed. Determines and creates finance training for non-financial personnel, as needed. The Accounts Payable Specialist will review and enter vendor invoices, ensuring timely payments in compliance with corporate policy. The Opportunity The Accounts Payable Specialist will review and enter vendor invoices, perform basic trending analyses, interact with various departments and management, and ensure payments are made timely and in compliance with corporate policy. The AP Specialist will also provide support during month-end close as it pertains to AP trend review, invoice pulls, expense accruals, prepaid support, and all other items requested by the accounting team. Day in the Life Processes and audits invoices for payment, including approvals and coding to the appropriate cost center and general ledger account in accordance with the company policies and procedures. Responsible for processing payments weekly, as well as submitting remittances to vendors. Responsible for saving all invoices and related support electronically in compliance with record retention policies. Keeps track of credits owed to the company and ensures all credits are properly applied to vendor payments. Resolve invoice discrepancies and issues promptly. Reconciles payable reports each month to confirm that all amounts paid were accurate. Responsible for submitting new vendor/supplier packet to leadership for Oracle setup, including, but not limited to: contract summary, W9 form, ACH form, approval from VMO and/or Procurement, etc. Assists in preparation of annual 1099 forms. Responds to all inquiries in a timely, professional, and efficient manner. Assists with canceled payments, voided checks, and stop payments along with any required research. Assists with providing support for year-end audit. Assists with obtaining information for necessary accruals related to operational expenses in which an invoice has not yet been received. Assists with operational reporting metrics for A/P and vendor spend. Ability to work, adapt and be productive in a flexible environment . Assists in the monthly review of the AP trend analysis report for month-end close. Responsible for mailing checks in a timely manner. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, related technology field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced degrees or certifications preferred. Seven plus (7+) years of professional work experience in data architecture, data engineering, data management, or data quality program development required. Two plus (2+) years of experience with data quality toolsets (Informatica, Talend, Soda, BigEye) and the configuration and administration of such solutions to streamline and automate data quality functions. Knowledge of and prior experience with data governance frameworks such as DAMA, DCAM, CDMC or DGPO. Course work and certification in DCAM and/or CDMC preferred. Knowledge of and prior experience with industry standard reference architectures such as TOGAF, BIAN or NIST. Course work and certification in BIAN preferred Years of experience may be offset by having proficiency in one or more highly specialized technologies or skills. Expert knowledge of data catalogs, metadata management and data lineage. Advanced understanding of data engineering concepts and practices with experience in Databricks, Python, SQL and other technologies for data validation and automation. Advanced technical skills and knowledge in data warehousing, databases, ETL/ELT, business intelligence and data governance. Comfortable with cloud environments (Azure preferred) and big data technologies. Ability to lead root cause analysis and implement remediation plans Knowledge of regulatory requirements impacting data (e.g., SOX, GLBA, GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, BCBS 239). Ability to manage multiple, concurrent efforts in a demanding environment and meet deadlines consistently. Excellent analytical and organizational skills and the ability to facilitate meetings, negotiate, influence, and build consensus. Effective communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills and the ability to liaise and work effectively with both business and technical teams.
