Description: We are seeking a Principal AI Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of AI-powered systems across Taxwell. Ensure AI features meet high standards for reliability, explainability, and trust—especially in a regulated domain like tax. Technical Leadership & Strategy Design and implement agent-based systems using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, ADK, or similar. Evaluate and integrate commercial and open-source AI technologies, including frontier models and open-weight LLMs. Establish best practices for prompt engineering, evaluation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of AI systems. Influence AI architecture and technical direction across the organization through design review and hands-on collaboration. Measure system effectiveness using telemetry, automated metrics, and qualitative feedback from internal and external users. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIOS: 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years' operating at a Principal- or Staff-level role. Proven experience designing and deploying production AI systems used by real users. Strong hands-on experience with LLM-enabled systems, including prompt engineering, RAG, and agent orchestration. Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript. Experience integrating AI systems with real-world applications, workflows, and data sources. Position Summary The Sales Manager will be responsible for leading a high-performing sales team with a relentless focus on driving revenue growth. This role demands a results-oriented leader who can set clear performance expectations, motivate team members, and hold them accountable to ambitious sales targets. The ideal candidate brings proven expertise in pipeline management, forecasting, and Salesforce CRM, with a strong ability to analyze performance metrics and translate them into actionable strategies. In addition to team development, the Sales Manager will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment around revenue-generating initiatives. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Performance Management Lead, coach, and develop a team of Account Executives to exceed revenue targets and KPIs. Set clear performance goals, conduct regular 1:1s, and provide ongoing feedback and coaching. Foster an accountability-driven culture centered around quota attainment and customer growth. Sales Operations & Pipeline Management Oversee pipeline health, sales activity, and conversion rates to ensure predictable revenue generation. Maintain high standards of data hygiene and reporting accuracy within Salesforce. Continuously reinforce sales training programs and methodologies to ensure team proficiency, consistency in execution, and sustained performance improvement Forecasting & Reporting Deliver accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales forecasts to executive leadership. Analyze team and individual performance trends to recommend strategic improvements. Collaboration & Strategy Partner with Marketing to refine lead generation and nurture programs. Provide competitive intelligence to refine battle cards, positioning, and messaging. Tradeshow Representation Represent Taxwell at industry conferences, partner events, and national/regional tradeshows. Collaborate with event planning and marketing teams to ensure successful execution and follow-up. Required Qualifications 5+ years of B2B sales experience, with at least 2 years in a sales management or leadership role. Proven track record of leading successful sales teams and achieving revenue goals. Advanced Salesforce CRM experience is a must (reporting, dashboards, opportunity management, etc.). Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindset. Ability and willingness to travel up to tradeshows and industry events. Experience in software or SaaS sales preferred; knowledge of tax/accounting industry is a plus. Preferred Attributes Experience with sales methodologies (e.g., Challenger, MEDDPICC, Sandler, etc.). Prior experience implementing or refining sales enablement tools and processes. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Familiarity with sales analytics tools (e.g., Zoom Revenue Accelerator, Gong, Clari, Outreach, SalesLoft).
