Responsibilities The Director, Partner Relations, is responsible for leading the strategy, performance, and partner engagement for Nexion Travel Group’s preferred travel partner portfolio. Partner Relationship Management & Strategic Planning Serve as the primary liaison for a portfolio of Nexion partners, managing relationships across contracting, marketing, business development, education and operational teams. Develop and implement annual strategic plans for travel partners that align with Nexion and Internova objectives, ensuring revenue and engagement goals are achieved. Present Nexion’s marketing platforms, events, and engagement opportunities to suppliers, co-creating annual plans that maximize partner visibility and ROI. Provide regular performance reviews and business insights to partners, identifying opportunities for increased participation and incremental growth. Contracting & Commercial Alignment Collaborate closely with Internova’s contracting team to negotiate and finalize annual travel partner agreements that reflect Nexion’s commercial priorities. Ensure Nexion’s financial structures, including overrides, commission tiers, and marketing contributions—are clearly defined and tracked throughout the year. Maintain accurate records of all contractual deliverables and commitments across partner and internal teams. Revenue Optimization & Program Performance Track, report, and analyze cruise partner override and bonus programs to ensure Nexion captures all eligible revenue opportunities. Collaborate with the marketing and business development and education teams to design initiatives that drive production into preferred programs, exclusive offerings, and cruise group space. Identify trends in advisor booking behaviors to develop targeted strategies that increase share of wallet for preferred partners. Deliver quarterly performance recaps to leadership, highlighting progress, risks, and growth opportunities. Education, Communication & Advisor Advocacy Partner with the business development and education teams to strengthen preferred partner selling capabilities through curated educational content and experiential learning. Communicate timely updates to advisors regarding promotions, product changes, and policy updates to ensure transparency and adoption. Qualifications Experience with multiple GDS platforms, Sabre and Travelport+ experience preferred. Proficient in primary GDS with minimum of 5 years’ experience; Travelport+ or Galileo preferred Proficient in secondary GDS with minimum of 2 years’ experience. Deep knowledge of GDS formats, air ticketing, hotel, cars, and non-arc invoicing. Knowledge of international reservation process Travel agent experience preferred Ability to handle difficult situations with little or no guidance, knows when to escalate to a leader. Good understanding of key GTC initiatives and employs good communication skills. Client Base knowledge a plus.
