Responsibilities • Lead the annual headcount planning for ELS which includes creating detailed headcount projections based on business needs and strategic objectives and present the headcount plans to executive management for approval. • Manage the quarterly headcount refresh process by running the headcount model and producing supporting analyses to ensure sublinear growth. • Refine and maintain the headcount model to reflect changes in business conditions and organizational structure. • Manage the headcount administration including accuracy of headcount attributes in the tool, governance of headcount allocation and troubleshooting issues related to the headcount tool. • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline headcount management processes. About the job As the Senior Director of Research and Development (R&D) Engineering, you will create an outlook and lead the incubation and design for Google's global data center components from the utility to the IT rack. You will challenge the status quo, improving on current designs and optimizing for operating requirements and constraints.
