Minimum qualifications: • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. • 8 years of experience in program or project management. • Experience managing programs and processes across distributed systems. • Experience building and driving executive and C-level stakeholder relationships and initiatives cross-functionally across all levels of an organization. Preferred qualifications: • Master’s degree, further education or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, Engineering, or other technical related field. • Experience with data center operations, hyperscale systems, infrastructure projects in the tech industry, or consulting. • Experience with organizational design, change management frameworks, and leading planning cycles for large-scale organizations. • Experience with fiscal management including annual budgeting, capital expenditure, and operational expenditure planning. • Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences. • Ability to travel up to 30% to regional sites to oversee project lifecycles, implement scalable strategies, and drive optimization. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines. As a Senior Program Manager, you will drive the efficient delivery of Google’s data center portfolio through the organization of data, implementation of scalable processes, and the use of professional tools. You'll lead, collaborate, negotiate, and communicate to identify areas for improvement, develop plans and processes, and execute changes. You'll manage project budgets and schedules, identify risks, and clearly communicate them to project stakeholders. You will also support decision making analysis, using objective data to support recommendations that are in line with Google’s goals. In this role, you will drive multiple strategic programs and business operations for the Google Data Centers (GDC) organization and Data Center Operations (DCOps). You'll solve ambiguous cross-functional challenges, ensuring alignment of senior stakeholders, and delivering downstream change management to drive business, strategic, and operational improvements. You'll act as a critical liaison between teams within and outside of GDC. You'll focus on strategies and operations to advance GDC’s short-term and long-term goals, and translate ambiguous goals into clear, measurable objectives that drive consistency and efficiency across the organization. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $174,000-$258,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Responsibilities • Drive the organizational pulse by curating executive staff meeting agendas and synthesizing complex data into narratives for monthly and quarterly business reviews to accelerate scalable decision-making. • Lead annual and quarterly planning cycles to set and align OKRs/KPIs with company and product area strategy, while managing headcount allocation and fiscal health, including CapEx and OpEx planning. • Design and execute change management strategies for major organizational shifts and draft high-stakes executive communications, including memos and presentations for internal and external audiences. • Establish and track key performance indicators through automated dashboards and ad-hoc deep dives to provide insights into organizational efficiency, optimization, and opportunities to scale. • Lead high-priority, ambiguous strategic projects and manage complex dependencies between the Google Data Centers organization and cross-functional partners such as Engineering, Finance, etc. Google is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
