Manage and support hardware and software lifecycle including procurement, inventory tracking, and physical handling of computer equipment. | High school diploma or equivalent with 6 months experience in IT hardware/software support and 2 years knowledge of computer systems, plus preferred certifications in IT asset management. | RESPONSIBILITIES • Support the agency’s request and approval process, procurement management, life cycle management, redeployment, and disposal of computer hardware, software, and peripherals. • Track and maintain a large volume of physical and computer network components from acquisition through disposal. • Complete physical handling of computer hardware inventory (i.e.: moving, stacking, storing, and labeling boxes). REQUIREMENTS Education & Corresponding Experience • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a directly related technical field is preferred. • 6 months of experience in Computer/Information Technology or a directly related field preferably providing computer hardware and/or software support is required. Required Technical Skills & Experience • 2 years working knowledge of computer systems and components, operating systems, and applications software. Analyze and monitor performance and identify areas for improvement. • Provide project controls support for multiple project teams. • Analyze SAP project cost data variances and determine necessary corrections. • Research and evaluate data, and independently develop creative alternative to complex processes and situations. • Provide application of scheduling logic, constraints, lag/lead relationships, float management, etc. to apply critical path scheduling methodology. • Develop and analyze ad hoc reports. • Act as lead for group, mentor associate and career level employees. • Act as key knowledge source for group. • Provide direction to Project Managers and key stakeholders regarding project milestones.
