Manage and support hardware and software lifecycle including procurement, inventory tracking, and physical handling of computer equipment.
High school diploma or equivalent with 6 months experience in IT hardware/software support and 2 years knowledge of computer systems, plus preferred certifications in IT asset management.
RESPONSIBILITIES • Support the agency’s request and approval process, procurement management, life cycle management, redeployment, and disposal of computer hardware, software, and peripherals. • Track and maintain a large volume of physical and computer network components from acquisition through disposal. • Complete physical handling of computer hardware inventory (i.e.: moving, stacking, storing, and labeling boxes). REQUIREMENTS Education & Corresponding Experience • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a directly related technical field is preferred. • 6 months of experience in Computer/Information Technology or a directly related field preferably providing computer hardware and/or software support is required. Required Technical Skills & Experience • 2 years working knowledge of computer systems and components, operating systems, and applications software. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite applications. • Knowledge of hardware and software lifecycle management. Preferred Skills & Experience One or more of the following Certifications: • Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) • Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP) • Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM). • Demonstrated logistics and/or warehouse systems experience. Familiarity with procurement and/or asset ordering systems.
