Arthrex is actively seeking a Software Applications Engineer - to work directly with the ADI Engineering department within Arthrex. You will get to support full life cycle development of software applications, which includes requirements gathering, architecture and design, coding, verification/validation, release, deployment and maintenance. Responsibilities include writing and reviewing software artifacts, code that meets acceptance criteria, hands-on software debugging, applying basic FDA and ISO guidelines to the software development lifecycle, technical project management, design history file review, and design assurance/software test support.  Excellent communication and analytical skills required, HS Diploma required Bachelor's degree strongly preferred, strong technical project management skills will be essential for this position. Develop software applications using standard SDLC processes. Translate abstract requirements into functional code to meet intended objectives and key results. Research, assess, and implement new technologies to improve software applications development. Develop software applications to ensure robust, sustainable and scalable design approaches that meet design intent. Collaborate closely with Product team, UI/UX, SQA, and TechOps team as well as other peer teams across Arthrex to deliver software applications for both surgeon, medical facilities and patients.   Skills & requirements: Engineer 2 level: High school diploma or equivalent required Working knowledge of entire software development lifecycle. Experience in developing web applications with frontend or backend frameworks, networking protocols and database technologies. Experience in 3D application development using software like Unity 3D, Unreal, or others. Ability to communicate ideas, results, recommendations, and status effectively in oral and written forms. Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience including supporting production systems required. Minimum of 1 year of contributing to software development required. Technical toolbox requirements include: Experience in web/mobile application development. Experience with one or more programming languages, such as C#, typescript, python, with C/C++ as a bonus, Node.js, Angular.js etc. Experience with one or more web frameworks, such as Node.js, Angular, React, graphQL etc. Experience with one or more database frameworks such as SQL, MongoDB, and DynamoDB etc.     Engineer Sr 1 level: High school diploma or equivalent required Advanced knowledge of entire software development lifecycle. Experience developing and maintaining 3D web applications in Unity WebGL, including MVVM-pattern architecture, alongside native iOS and Angular companion applications. Good understanding of cyber security principles and implementation guidelines, particularly as applied to cloud-hosted (AWS) medical software and GraphQL API/data layers. Experience in architecture design for small / medium scale software application systems, including cross-platform data flow between WebGL, iOS, and web clients. Ability to proactively communicate ideas, results, recommendations, and status effectively in oral and written forms. Ability to coach & mentor junior level engineers. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience including developing and managing production systems required. Minimum of 2 years of contributing to entire software development lifecycle required. Proven experience leading projects required. Technical toolbox requirements include: Proficient with web/mobile application system design including reliability, security and performance aspects. Proficient in web/mobile application development. Proficient with programming languages, such as C#, typescript, python, with C/C++ as a bonus etc. Proficient with web frameworks, such as Node.js, Angular, React, graphQL etc. Proficient with database frameworks such as SQL, MongoDB, and DynamoDB etc.     Engineer Sr 2 level: High school diploma or equivalent required Advanced knowledge of entire software development lifecycle as a technical lead  across Unity WebGL, iOS, and Angular application projects. In-depth experience developing 3D web applications in Unity WebGL using MVVM architecture, plus native iOS and Angular applications, integrated with AWS-hosted GraphQL APIs and backend data services. Advanced understanding of cyber security principles and implementation guidelines, including securing cloud infrastructure (AWS) and API/data layers (GraphQL) for regulated medical software. Experience in architecture design for medium / large scale software application systems, including multi-platform systems spanning WebGL, native mobile, and web clients. Keeps informed on emerging technologies and recommends process improvements accordingly. Ability to proactively communicate ideas, results, recommendations, and status effectively in oral and written forms. Ability to supervise contractors, and junior level engineers. Ability to innovate new solutions, apply new frameworks and propose new architecture design Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience including developing and managing production systems required. Minimum of 4 years of contributing to entire software development lifecycle required. Proven experience as a technical lead of a web application project. Technical toolbox requirements include: Proficient with web/mobile application system design including reliability, security and performance aspects. Proficient in web/mobile application development, including 3D application development using Unity (WebGL deployment). Familiarity with MVVM frameworks a plus. Proficient with programming languages, such as C#, typescript, python, with C/C++ as a bonus etc. Proficient with web frameworks, such as Node.js, Angular, React, GraphQL etc. Proficient with cloud hosting platforms such as AWS. This position will manage system wide inventory levels, coordinate product movement and oversee field audit activities within the Field Operations Unit. Identify and drive strategic inventory optimization processes at the Corporate, Regional and Agency levels.
