Through relationship management with retail store personnel, along with key decision makers at the corporate level offices, you will provide beneficial sales support that will help them grow their business with the Pittsburgh Paints Company. You will work in field within the Gulf and South markets. Key Responsibilities: • Facilitate product recommendations (application, performance, training, and color). • Service existing customer accounts and find opportunities for growth within the sales territory. • Develop account planning strategies, sales opportunities, accounts with growth potential, and understand existing business and the segments they serve. • Use Customer Relationship Manager tool to handle accounts, maintain call logs and contact info, run reports, etc. • Analyze territory performance and develop sales territory business plans. • Use initiative in handling customer problems, complaints and warranty issues to resolve in a timely manner. • Prioritize/conduct dealer/end-user education and product information seminars. Qualifications: • 2+ years of sales experience. • Minimum education High School Diploma, Bachelor's degree in business related field strongly preferred. • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, negotiating and presentation skills are required. • Coatings or building industry related knowledge is preferred. • Must possess a valid Driver's License with clean driving record. • NACE or AAMP certification preferred. • 75% travel PPC Participates in a Fixed and Variable Rate (FAVR) program. You will support PPC Commercial Excellence across all training programs and initiatives. This role is critical to driving product knowledge, training execution, and market expertise, impacting both internal teams and external customers. You will serve as a trusted field resource, providing in-market technical expertise, assisting in new product rollouts, and engaging in high-priority events. You will report to the Senior Commercial Excellence Manager and work a remote schedule with travel. This position will require heavy travel up to 70% if outside of the Houston, Texas area. Key Responsibilities: • Implementing strategic, in-region, product/application training. • Assisting in the creation and maintenance of product training curriculum. • Identifying and communicating national and regional competitive products. • Facilitating new product rollout training and in-field testing of new formulations. • Serve as a technical expert supporting the Trade Sales force. • Representing the company at high-visibility industry events. Support the formulation of strategic product knowledge development across all brands and channels. • Design and update learning tools for system-wide product training. • Coordinate and facilitate ongoing field-based product training efforts. • Deliver new product information to frontline employees. • Schedule and manage vendor training sessions in assigned regions. • Assist Regional Training Centers with product-focused onboarding. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree is preferred and a minimum of 5 years of experience in Architectural Coatings, or a minimum of 10 years of direct experience in Architectural Coatings. • Advanced knowledge of paint products, applications, and common paint problems. • Proven ability to conduct training sessions for large groups (25+ participants). • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills. • Strong organizational and self-management skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel. Preferred Qualifications: • NACE Level I Certification. • Previous professional training experience.
