2+ years sales experience, high school diploma (bachelor's preferred), strong communication and negotiation skills, valid driver's license, coatings/building industry knowledge and certifications preferred, 75% travel.
The Protective Dealer Representative reporting to the Senior Regional Sales Manager services existing customer accounts and finds opportunities for growth within the sales territory. Through relationship management with retail store personnel, along with key decision makers at the corporate level offices, you will provide beneficial sales support that will help them grow their business with the Pittsburgh Paints Company. You will work in field within the Gulf and South markets. Key Responsibilities: • Facilitate product recommendations (application, performance, training, and color). • Service existing customer accounts and find opportunities for growth within the sales territory. • Develop account planning strategies, sales opportunities, accounts with growth potential, and understand existing business and the segments they serve. • Use Customer Relationship Manager tool to handle accounts, maintain call logs and contact info, run reports, etc. • Analyze territory performance and develop sales territory business plans. • Use initiative in handling customer problems, complaints and warranty issues to resolve in a timely manner. • Prioritize/conduct dealer/end-user education and product information seminars. Qualifications: • 2+ years of sales experience. • Minimum education High School Diploma, Bachelor's degree in business related field strongly preferred. • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, negotiating and presentation skills are required. • Coatings or building industry related knowledge is preferred. • Must possess a valid Driver's License with clean driving record. • NACE or AAMP certification preferred. • 75% travel PPC Participates in a Fixed and Variable Rate (FAVR) program.
