You’ll collaborate with local market teams, niche experts, and global partners to drive cloud solution sales and empower clients on their cloud transformation journey. As a key member of Slalom’s Google Cloud Center of Excellence, you’ll leverage our award-winning partnerships and multidisciplinary teams to deliver business value and technical excellence for high-impact data and AI solutions. What You’ll Do • Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor for Google Cloud data and AI portfolio and solutions, including data platforms, AI/ML services, and Gen AI toolkits during the sales cycle. • Partner with account executives, solution architects, and client stakeholders to understand business challenges and propose tailored cloud solutions that shape and scope data modernization, ML engineering, and GenAI solution architectures. • Prototype and present early-stage solutions using tools such as Google’s data orchestration and integration services (e.g., BigQuery, Dataplex, Dataflow, Spanner, BigTable, Pub/Sub, Composer), ML and Gen AI capabilities (e.g., Vertex AI Pipelines, AutoML, Gemini APIs), AI development frameworks (e.g., LangChain, embedding-powered retrieval, vector stores), and support for RAG and backend orchestration of agentic systems. • Support customers in evaluating cloud-native MLOps, vector search, data security, and integration patterns for AI applications. • Lead and facilitate technical sales presentations, discovery workshops, and product demonstrations for client prospects. • Guide clients through the evaluation of Google Cloud services, including architecture, integration, security, and migration considerations. • Develop and deliver compelling solution proposals, statements of work, and technical documentation that address client needs and requirements. • Collaborate with engineers and consultants to ensure seamless handoff and successful project delivery post-sale. • Stay current with Google Cloud innovations, market trends, and competitive landscape to inform client recommendations. • Work flexibly, including virtual, onsite, and possible regional travel up to 50% as needed. What You’ll Bring • Demonstrated expertise in selling and supporting GCP solutions, with a deep understanding of cloud-native data platforms, ML pipelines, and Gen AI applications using Google Cloud. • Experience across the full AI/ML lifecycle, including model development, orchestration, feature engineering, and production deployment. • Hands-on knowledge of GenAI patterns, including embedding models, vector databases, prompt engineering, and RAG (retrieval-augmented generation) • Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation patterns, vector databases, embedding pipelines, and tools like LangChain and Gemini APIs. • Experience deploying or supporting ML models in production using tools like Vertex AI Pipelines, Feature Store, or model monitoring. • Familiarity with data ingestion, transformation, storage, and orchestration in Google Cloud (e.g., GCP BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Composer). • Proficiency in Python or other relevant languages; experience with ML libraries and Gen AI SDKs is a plus. • Proven experience in technical pre-sales, solution engineering, or consulting roles within a technology or cloud services environment. • Ability to bridge business needs with scalable, secure, and cost-effective data and AI solutions. • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value propositions for both technical and non-technical audiences. • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; comfortable engaging with C-level executives and technical stakeholders alike. • Experience designing and/or supporting production enterprise applications on Google Cloud. • Familiarity with application lifecycle management, DevOps automation, and modern system integration patterns is a plus. • Relevant certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Data Engineer, Professional Database Engineer, Professional Machine Learning Engineer) preferred. Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the base salary pay range for Senior Principal is $140,000 to $258,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
