Lead UX research to evolve design systems, collaborate with product teams, and deliver actionable insights to improve user experience and product quality. | 7+ years UX research experience with expertise in design systems, strong communication and collaboration skills, and ability to conduct diverse research methodologies. | We are seeking a Senior UX Researcher with experience in design systems to join our team at a pivotal moment of growth. In this role, you will play a central part in shaping the evolution of our design system—uncovering user needs, measuring adoption, and ensuring the system scales seamlessly across platforms and product teams. You’ll work hand-in-hand with designers, engineers, and product managers to deliver not only design consistency, but also measurable impact on team efficiency, product quality, and user experience. This is a highly collaborative position where you’ll build strong relationships with product teams, stakeholders, and executives, while championing the voice of the user. We are looking for a strategic thinker who brings fresh ideas, challenges the status quo, and advocates for meaningful change. As part of a newly established team, you will influence how we improve the end-to-end UX design process, educate product teams on the value of research, and guide how our design system scales across the enterprise. • Lead qualitative and quantitative research to inform the strategy, adoption, and evolution of our design system. • Identify pain points and opportunities in how users interact with and use the products across our supply chain and how those influence the growth of the design system. • Develop frameworks for measuring system effectiveness (usability, adoption, time savings, consistency, accessibility impact). • Collaborate with product managers and designers to prioritize features and improvements based on research insights. • Conduct evaluative research on system components, patterns and styles. • Evangelize user needs within the design system team and across product teams, ensuring decisions are grounded in evidence. • Create clear, compelling research deliverables (personas, journey maps, insights reports) that drive alignment and action. • Partner with data analysts to triangulate qualitative insights with quantitative usage data. • Make data-informed recommendations for product design improvements and design system intake (new components, enhancements, etc). • Occasional travel to conduct user research, field studies or facilitate in-person workshops as needed. (may be 1-2 times per quarter) Qualifications • 7+ years of professional experience in UX research. • Strong expertise in a wide range of research methodologies (interviews, usability studies, surveys, diary studies, card sorts, tree tests, etc.). • Direct experience researching design systems, component libraries, or cross-product platforms and/or experience working with design system teams • Clear and engaging speaker and ability to facilitate discovery workshops with designers, developers, stakeholders and executives. • Experience conducting research with both end-users (customers) and internal users (designers, developers, product teams). • Ability to communicate complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional partners (design, engineering, product, accessibility, brand).
