Lead the platform and infrastructure work for an Ab Initio-to-AWS migration, including dependency assessment, platform administration, troubleshooting, and architectural guidance. | Requires significant Ab Initio migration expertise, hands-on AWS and EC2, enterprise lift-and-shift experience, Linux administration, and familiarity with complex ETL environments. | Senior Ab Initio Platform Architect — AWS Modernization This Role encompasses: ( Sr. Ab Initio Platform Administrator/ AWS Architect/ Infrastructure Engineer) We’re looking for a Senior Ab Initio Platform Architect / Engineer to join a major enterprise modernization initiative. This is a highly technical opportunity focused on moving a large-scale Ab Initio data platform into AWS and helping establish the foundation for its future evolution toward Databricks. • This Is NOT Just an Ab Initio Developer Role* We need someone who understands the platform behind the ETL environment — AWS, Linux/Unix, infrastructure, storage, networking, security, access, scheduling, and platform administration. You’ll work across platform, infrastructure, application, data, and security teams to identify dependencies, solve technical challenges, and help drive the migration forward. What You’ll Do • Support a large-scale Ab Initio → AWS lift-and-shift migration • Assess infrastructure, application, and platform dependencies • Configure and administer Ab Initio platforms and sandbox environments • Troubleshoot platform and infrastructure issues • Work with teams on EC2, storage, networking, security, firewalls, and access • Provide senior-level architecture and technical guidance • Identify risks and dependencies before they impact the migration • Help make AWS decisions that support the future move toward Databricks What We Need • Significant Ab Initio migration/modernization experience • Strong hands-on AWS + EC2 experience • Enterprise-scale lift-and-shift migration experience • Strong Linux/Unix administration; Red Hat preferred • Understanding of AWS storage, networking, security, firewall, and access management • Experience with complex enterprise ETL/data environments • Ability to work across infrastructure, application, data, and security teams • Strong technical communication and documentation skills Nice to Have • Databricks • Redshift • Legacy ETL/data platform modernization • Enterprise data warehouse experience • Experience supporting highly interconnected production environments The Right Person You’ve done enterprise migrations before and know how to spot the issues that can derail them. You’re comfortable getting into the details but can also step back and provide architectural direction. You can troubleshoot, challenge assumptions, communicate with multiple technical teams, and take ownership from strategy through execution. Work Arrangement • Remote — U.S. • Monday–Friday | Approximately 8 AM–5 PM Central • Central/Eastern preferred; exceptional Pacific candidates will be considered. • Occasional travel — approximately once per year.
