7+ years data science experience in healthcare with strong programming, statistical, and communication skills, and a STEM bachelor's degree.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist to lead high-impact projects, mentor junior team members, and deliver actionable insights from complex healthcare data. This role will develop and maintain advanced models, apply machine learning and statistical methods, and partner with stakeholders across IT, finance, and clinical operations to improve decision-making and organizational outcomes. Key Responsibilities • Lead data science projects from design through execution, ensuring business impact • Develop and deploy custom data models, algorithms, and advanced analytics solutions • Apply machine learning and statistical methods to drive insights and improve operations • Maintain, evaluate, and optimize existing models for accuracy and relevance • Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences • Mentor and coach junior data scientists; provide training on emerging tools and methods • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve data issues and improve data processes • Research and recommend new tools, methods, and vendors to support data science initiatives Qualifications Required: • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related STEM field • 7+ years of professional data science experience • Hands-on experience in healthcare, hospital operations, medical informatics, revenue cycle, or EHR data management (required) • Advanced proficiency in SQL, statistical methods, and machine learning techniques • Strong programming skills and knowledge of statistical analysis tools • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Excellent problem-solving, analytical reasoning, and decision-making skills • Strong communication skills with the ability to present findings to diverse audiences Preferred: • Master’s degree in Data Science • Experience with advanced healthcare data systems and informatics • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement methodologies What We’re Looking For • A collaborative leader who thrives in multidisciplinary environments • A strong communicator who can translate complex findings into business value • A mentor passionate about growing the skills of other data scientists • A customer-focused problem solver with a track record of delivering measurable results
