Evaluate and assess real world data for feasibility and strategic acquisition, maintain knowledge of industry data and analytics, and collaborate cross-functionally to support RWE initiatives. | PhD or Master’s with extensive health economics experience, 5-8+ years in health services research with pharmaceutical industry background, strong IT and analytics knowledge, and leadership skills. | • Evaluate comprehensiveness, representativeness, and fitness-for-purpose of RWD through feasibility assessments and pilot studies. • Maintain knowledge of industry-leading RWD and capabilities, Big Data innovations, and analytics methodologies with practical use cases across all TAs. • Contribute to the RWE CoE data strategy function by identifying innovative data sources in connection to enterprise data initiatives. • Engage with cross-functional stakeholders and vendors in sourcing of RWD. • Contribute to continuous improvement of the RWE CoE functional initiatives and change management by modeling desired behaviors to promote a culture of curiosity, innovation, and industry thought-leadership. Qualifications and Experiences: • PhD in Economics, Health Services, Health Economics, or related field. Master’s degree in Economics, Health Services, Health Economics, or related field will be considered if an individual has extensive years of transferable experience. • Extensive knowledge of IT infrastructure and analytics methods for structured and unstructured data (servers, databases, data lakes, etc.) is required. • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in health services and outcomes research and the analysis of large multi-dimensional healthcare claims and electronic health records datasets. A minimum of 8 years is required with a Master’s degree in any of the required fields. • Relevant pharmaceutical industry experience is required. • Ability to independently perform exploratory analysis of new datasets through pilot studies and feasibility assessments in support of strategic data acquisition decision-making. • Demonstration of extensive knowledge of the RWD ecosystem (vendors, capabilities etc.) and evolving landscape trends; with ability to continuously monitor the evolving RWD landscape, identify gaps, and make actionable recommendations for closure to relevant stakeholders. • Demonstrated ability to stay abreast of external RWD / Big Data landscape and innovative use cases. • Cross-functional collaboration to maintain a comprehensive catalog of Enterprise datasets and RWD vendors repository. • Strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to translate RWE strategies into relevant and timely RWD tactics and deliverables. • An influential leader with demonstrated ability to build trust and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization; develop and maintain effective cross-functional relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers for proactive problem-solving. • Executive presence with demonstrated ability to translate complex multi-dimensional concepts into layman’s terms and tailor messaging to diverse stakeholder audience. • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and strong desire for continuous learning and improvement.
