Kentro is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Technical Project Manager to oversee the Department of Veterans Affairs’ ServiceNow ITSM module and overall ServiceNow platform operations. This role is responsible for leading cross-functional delivery teams (including Scrum Masters, Business Analysts, Administrators, and other technical contributors), ensuring effective execution of ITSM enhancements, platform optimization, incident triage, change management, monitoring/performance improvements, and governance. The Technical PM will serve as a strategic bridge between technical teams and stakeholders, applying Agile principles and ITIL best practices to deliver high-quality outcomes across the ServiceNow environment. Location: Remote within the United States supporting ET working hours. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate planning, execution, and delivery of ServiceNow ITSM projects and platform operations. Oversee multiple scrum teams (Scrum Masters, BAs, developers, admins) to ensure cohesive and timely delivery of features, updates, and operational improvements. Serve as the primary technical point of contact for the ITSM module (Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, Request Management) and other ServiceNow Platform services. Manage and prioritize the backlog, scope changes, risks, and dependencies across interconnected workstreams. Collaborate with platform administrators on ongoing operations including incident triage, change management coordination, performance monitoring, and SLA/OLA tracking. Oversee platform lifecycle activities, including release coordination, upgrades, and operational readiness to ensure platform stability and alignment with organizational priorities. Facilitate performance reporting, metrics tracking, and dashboards to provide visibility into ITSM effectiveness and platform health. Establish and drive platform governance, best practices, standards, and operational metrics to support consistent delivery and continuous improvement. Facilitate Agile ceremonies, release planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives with distributed teams. Communicate status, escalations, risks, and performance to stakeholders and leadership, including recommendations for mitigation and refinement strategies. Ensure alignment with ITIL v3/v4 principles and VA standards for service delivery and platform stability. Mentor and support team members to strengthen technical and operational capabilities within the ServiceNow ecosystem. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field (or equivalent experience). 10+ years of professional experience in IT or project management, with at least 7 years of hands-on experience managing ServiceNow platform initiatives, including ITSM modules and platform operations. Proficiency with ServiceNow platform with deep knowledge of ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge) and familiarity with CMDB and performance/monitoring tools. ServiceNow CSA (Certified System Administrator) Demonstrated experience leading Agile teams in an enterprise environment; familiarity with Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid methodologies. Strong understanding of ITIL best practices and how they apply to service delivery and support workflows. Proven ability to manage competing priorities, define project governance, and drive cross-team collaboration. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders. Experience in federal government environment Preferred Skills & Certifications Additional ServiceNow Certifications (e.g., CIS-ITSM, Implementation Specialist). This role is primarily focused on business development activities where the Senior Director can look at pipeline priorities and infuse them with differentiated, mission-aligned solutions. The ideal candidate is a strategic architect with deep federal contracting experience, capable of translating complex customer needs into scalable, repeatable frameworks that drive both capture success and delivery excellence. In a secondary capacity, the Senior Director can assist in validating that current technical challenges are translated into actionable strategies and that growth efforts are aligned with enterprise goals. Responsibilities: Strategic Growth Leadership Partner with VPs of Growth and BD (Capture) and Chief Strategy Officer to define and prioritize major pipeline initiatives, aligning resources and talent to maximize win probability and delivery readiness. Lead the development of modular, reusable solution architectures that accelerate proposal velocity and enhance technical differentiation across bids Develop and maintain a multi-track growth strategy that supports simultaneous capture efforts, technical solutioning, and proposal development across diverse portfolios. Integrated Solution Development Collaborate with Capture and Proposal staff to identify process inefficiencies, technical gaps, and solutioning bottlenecks that impact win rates or proposal quality. Facilitate early-stage solutioning workshops to align technical SMEs, delivery leads, and BD staff around shared solution constructs and value propositions. Work closely with Service Delivery Leadership to enable operational feasibility of proposed solutions and to surface delivery-side innovations that can be leveraged in growth efforts. Technical Strategy & Enablement Serve as liaison to Technical Services and Technical Partnerships teams to translate customer pain points and mission challenges into differentiated technical strategies and win arguments. Establish agile feedback loops between delivery, capture, and technical teams to continuously refine solution quality, proposal alignment, and operational feasibility. Process Optimization Lead efforts to streamline proposal workflows, reducing bottlenecks and improving throughput across the growth lifecycle. Implement feedback loops between delivery, capture, and technical teams to continuously refine processes and improve proposal quality and technical alignment. Coaching and Capability Building Lead coaching efforts for Orals, scenario-based presentations, and solution walkthroughs, equipping teams with the tools and narratives needed to win. Mentor solution architects and proposal managers on best practices for integrating technical strategy with growth objectives. Resource Alignment & Portfolio Management Assess pipeline priorities and recommend resource allocation models to Director of Proposals that balance strategic pursuits with operational capacity. Collaborate with Director of Proposals in aligning talent, tools, and timelines to maximize win probability and minimize rework. Location: Hybrid in McLean, VA (as needed). 15+ years of progressive experience in federal growth strategy, capture management, technical solutioning, or business development within mission-driven or contracting environments. Proven ability to lead cross-functional growth initiatives, integrating capture, proposal, technical, and delivery teams to drive strategic outcomes. Deep understanding of the federal procurement lifecycle, including proposal development, capture planning, and compliance frameworks. Demonstrated success in translating customer mission challenges into executable technical strategies and differentiated win themes. Strong background in process optimization, with the ability to identify bottlenecks and implement scalable, repeatable workflows. Exceptional executive communication and briefing skills, capable of synthesizing complex technical and strategic information into compelling narratives. Experience in resource alignment and portfolio management, including the use of dashboards and reporting tools to track pipeline health and strategic priorities. Preferred Qualifications Certification in ITIL v3 or ITIL 4, with practical experience applying service management principles to growth and delivery operations. Experience in innovation ecosystems, technical partnerships, or modernization initiatives. Background in compliance-driven environments (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA, RMF) is a plus. Familiarity with toolsets for workflow orchestration and reporting.
