Lead original research projects from strategy to final report including survey design and data interpretation, lead client strategy sessions, and mentor writers. | 5+ years in content strategy, research, or journalism with strong B2B technology background and proficiency in quantitative data interpretation. | Own survey-based research projects from strategy through final report. Full-time or part-time, remote, with 4 hours of overlap with US Mountain Time. $3,500–$4,500/month for full-time – Apply now! Hey there! I’m Becky, founder of Redpoint Insights. We’re a boutique marketing agency based in Salt Lake City, Utah, that helps B2B tech companies bring thoughtful, insight-driven content to market. We specialize in original research, data-driven storytelling, and long-form thought leadership for enterprise and midmarket tech brands. At Redpoint, we believe the best content starts with strong ideas and research. Our team is made up of curious, self-motivated people who enjoy asking good questions, managing multiple projects, and always looking for ways to improve. If you enjoy conducting research, interviewing, data storytelling, thinking critically, improving your craft, simplifying complex ideas and products for audiences, and collaborating in a high-trust environment, you’ll feel right at home here. We’re looking for a Senior Research Writer & Strategist who can own original research projects from strategy through to the final report. This isn’t a “write from a brief” role. You’ll work directly with clients to shape research approaches, contribute to survey design, interpret quantitative findings, uncover the strongest story in the data, and turn those findings into compelling, narrative-driven reports. You’ll work closely with Redpoint’s data analysts and research operations team throughout the process. Initially, you’ll personally write the majority of Redpoint’s research reports. As the company grows and expands its bench of freelance writers, you’ll also help establish editorial standards, mentor other writers, and make sure every research deliverable meets Redpoint’s quality bar. Research will be your primary focus, but you may occasionally support blogs, case studies, and other thought leadership content when the wider team needs additional help. In this role, you will: 📝 Write narrative-driven research reports that transform complex survey data into compelling B2B thought leadership 🔎 Identify the central story within the data, separating meaningful insight from background noise 📊 Interpret quantitative findings and crosstab data to uncover trends, implications, and strong report angles 📋 Own research projects from start to finish, including client kickoffs, research strategy, survey development, analysis, writing, and final delivery 🎤 Lead client strategy sessions, present research findings, gather feedback, and confidently guide senior marketing and business leaders 💡 Challenge assumptions and recommend the strongest narrative, rather than simply summarising the available findings 🗂 Develop clear report structures that change how readers think about a topic, not just what they know ⚙️ Work with AI-assisted first drafts, using your judgment to refine the narrative, interpret the data, and ensure the final work reflects genuine strategic thinking ✅ Review research reports and briefs for analytical rigour, narrative strength, clarity, and editorial quality ✍️ Occasionally contribute to blogs, case studies, and other content projects when additional support is needed 🚀 Help Redpoint grow its research practice by establishing editorial standards and, over time, mentoring additional research writers Working Hours ⏰: This is a remote contractor role that can be full-time or part-time. You’ll need at least 4 hours of working-time overlap with US Mountain Time so that you can attend client calls and collaborate with the Redpoint team. Because this is a senior, client-facing role, you’ll have a high degree of ownership and autonomy over how your work is planned and delivered. You’ll still need to meet agreed deadlines and be available for client and internal meetings when required. You’ll thrive in this role if you have: ✅ 5+ years of experience in content strategy, research, journalism, analyst work, or a related role ✅ Experience writing reports, white papers, or thought leadership based on original quantitative survey data ✅ Confidence reviewing crosstab data, identifying meaningful findings, and developing a compelling narrative from the results ✅ Exceptional editorial judgment, including knowing which findings should lead, which should support the story, and which should be left out ✅ Strong narrative writing ability and a journalistic mindset—you don’t simply summarise findings, you build an evidence-based story ✅ Experience leading client calls and presenting strategic recommendations to senior marketing or business leaders ✅ B2B technology content experience and the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, accessible language ✅ Strong independent and strategic thinking—you can develop the angle, structure, and narrative from a dataset or broad topic without waiting for a detailed outline ✅ Comfort owning research projects end-to-end, from initial strategy through to the final report ✅ Confidence working with numbers, data tables, and statistical findings ✅ Willingness to work with, direct, and substantially improve AI-assisted first drafts ✅ A proactive and self-managed approach, with the ability to handle feedback and changing timelines transparently Bonus Points for: 🌟 Experience as an analyst or writer at a research firm such as Forrester, Gartner, IDC, or a smaller equivalent 🌟 Agency experience, particularly within B2B content or research services 🌟 A journalism background involving data-led or investigative reporting 🌟 Experience as an in-house content marketing manager responsible for both strategy and execution 🌟 Experience with survey design, research methodology, or market research operations You’re the kind of person who can look at a dataset and quickly recognise the story worth telling. You ask thoughtful questions, challenge weak assumptions, and know the difference between an interesting statistic and a meaningful insight. You’re confident working directly with clients, take ownership of the full process, and care deeply about producing clear, rigorous, and genuinely useful research. What’s in it for you? 💰 $3,500–$4,500 per month* 🕐 Full-time and fully remote 🌴 20 days paid time off, plus public holidays ✍️ Opportunity to write high-impact content for major B2B tech brands 🚀 Long-term role with room to grow alongside the business 🤝 Close collaboration with a supportive founder and great clients 💡 Variety of projects across different technologies and industries *Please note that this is a gross salary and that you are responsible for any tax-related procedures in your country of residence. Manage administrative tasks including inbox, calendar, and scheduling while optimizing operational systems using AI tools. | Requires prior executive assistant or project management experience, high proficiency with AI tools, and ability to work overlapping US Eastern Time hours. | Be the right-hand partner to a solo executive coach - inbox, calendar, projects + AI-powered system building. $1,800-$2,250/month | Full-time | US Eastern TimeHi, I'm Jay, and I run Jay Bacrania., an executive coaching and consulting firm based just outside Boston. My work centres on supporting business leaders and their teams - helping them work through challenges, gain clarity, and make meaningful progress, with the broader goal of growing their companies' revenue, profitability, and salable value. Coaching is my passion. I care deeply about being fully present in every conversation and building strong, thoughtful relationships with the people I work with. I'm now looking for someone to step in as my right-hand partner. We've just completed a full deep dive into all of our operational processes - loading everything into Claude so I can hand you a packaged guide plus a prioritised list of automation opportunities. The goal is for you to rebuild my systems AI-first as you take over the work, with hands-on training and support during the transition. We're looking for an Executive Assistant to take all administrative work off my plate so I can focus on coaching clients. This is someone who's organised, proactive, and comfortable using AI to build smarter systems - not just maintain what's already there. You'll manage my inbox and calendar, coordinate with clients and vendors, run independent projects, handle personal admin (like scheduling kids' appointments and planning family trips), and hold me accountable for getting my own work tasks done. You'll also rebuild and optimise existing SOPs using Claude, identify automation opportunities, and be responsive during the workday when I need support. This is around 30-35 hours per week, treated as full-time. You'll need solid overlap with US Eastern Time - ideally 10am-5pm ET, though I'm open to 7am-3pm ET if you work earlier hours and I can shift my morning routine to make admin time work. To be successful in this role, you need: ✅ Prior admin or EA experience (could also come from a project management background) - ideally early to mid-career rather than 15-20 years deep ✅ Fluency and comfort with AI, specifically Claude (including Claude code if needed) to build automations on top of existing SOPs ✅ Highly organised - no loose threads, no dropped balls ✅ Strong attention to detail ✅ Proactive, takes initiative without waiting to be asked ✅ Trustworthy - you'll handle sensitive client and personal information ✅ Strong relational and communication skills - warm, approachable, easy to work with ✅ Comfortable holding me accountable and persistently following up without getting frustrated Brownie points for: ⭐ Experience supporting an executive at a higher level across business and admin functions Intelligence, honesty, and full ownership are at the top of the list - no excuses, just creativity and problem-solving when something needs to get done. You're curious and hungry to experiment, learn, and build, especially with AI. Persistent and patient when things slip through the cracks (they will sometimes), you engineer different ways to make things happen rather than getting frustrated. Flexible and not stuck in your ways, you bring warmth and relational ease to the working relationship. This isn't about rigid templates or doing things the way they've always been done - it's about being a true partner who can adapt, improve, and keep things moving forward. What’s in it for you? 💰 $1,800-$2,250 per month* 💼 Full-time (30-35 hours/week) 🌍 Fully remote 🤖 Work with AI tools (Claude) to build smarter systems 🎓 Training and handover support from the outgoing EA *Final offer depends on experience and fit. Please note that this is a gross salary and that you are responsible for any tax-related procedures in your country of residence. Build and productionize AI-driven internal tools partnering with business managers to solve problems. | 5+ years software engineering with JavaScript, Python, SQL, AI coding tools, and low-code platform experience. | Be the first technical hire at a cider company betting big on AI. Build tools that move the business forward. $5k-$6k/month USD | Contract | Async-friendlyWe're Downeast Cider, a ~100-person cider manufacturer with production, packaging, supply chain, sales, marketing, and finance teams. We make great cider. But here's the thing: we have no in-house software engineering or IT function. Zero. And until recently, that was fine. Then we started experimenting with AI. Claude Code. ChatGPT. Internal workflow tools. One of our team members vibe-coded an order portal replacement that saved us $15k a year in software subscriptions. Another prototyped a sales tool. Suddenly, we realised we could build things we never thought possible. We have more than enough ideas to get started. What we need now is someone who can take our rough drafts, productionise them, and help us build a genuinely smarter business. We'd love somebody who can help us learn and build better systems. We've got a dozen people in the company who will be heavily involved in this stuff. It's not about saving money on software. That's probably the least interesting part. It's about unlocking new capabilities, removing manual work, and giving our managers leverage they don't have today. We're looking for an AI Full Stack Developer. You'll be our first and only technical employee. We need someone who can sit with department leaders, understand their problems, and ship working tools fast. You'll partner with Sales, Operations, Marketing, and Finance to turn their ideas into real solutions. You'll also proactively spot opportunities they haven't thought of yet and make the case for building them. 📋 Learn each business function deeply - sit with teams until you understand how their work actually happens 💻 Partner with department managers to develop technical solutions to problems they've already identified 💡 Proactively ideate on problems we haven't thought to solve yet - automations, data products, integrations 🚀 Ship aggressively using AI coding tools and low/no-code platforms - own the full lifecycle from scope to deployment 📦 Document lightly so non-technical teammates can self-serve where it makes sense We're open to global candidates. Async-friendly with no required time-zone overlap, but you should be reachable within 24 hours on weekdays and able to schedule live calls with Boston/ET-based managers when needed. To be successful in this role, you need: ✅ 5+ years software engineering experience building real, production-grade systems ✅ AI-native - you live in Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, Copilot and treat AI as a force multiplier ✅ Full-stack proficiency across multiple languages - comfortable with JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, SQL at minimum ✅ Strong experience with low/no-code automation tools - Zapier, Make, n8n, Airtable, Retool or equivalents ✅ Shipped real internal tools or CRMs end-to-end - frontend, backend, database, deployment ✅ Comfortable talking to non-technical stakeholders - you can sit with a sales manager and walk away with a useful spec ✅ Self-directed and async-friendly - excellent written communication and self-management Brownie points for: ⭐ Experience working at a small/mid-sized non-tech company in CPG, beverage, food, or retail ⭐ Experience with sales forecasting, demand planning, or time-series modelling ⭐ Experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar data warehouses ⭐ Familiarity with CPG data sources - distributor sales data (VIP, iDig), Shopify, QuickBooks, NetSuite ⭐ Built your own side projects with AI tools - bonus if you can show us ⭐ Background in data engineering or analytics You're a self-starter who acts like a leader. You don't wait to be told what to do. When you see a problem, you start solving it. You're direct, high-trust, and comfortable giving honest feedback. Frugal and resourceful. Customer-obsessed, where the customer is the department manager using your tool. You genuinely care whether what you ship actually solves the problem. You're always reading, learning, trying new tools. What’s in it for you? 💰 $5,000-$6,000 per month USD* 💼 Contract 🌍 Fully remote - open to global candidates 📅 Async-friendly with flexible weekly hours *Please note that this is a gross salary and that you are responsible for any tax-related procedures in your country of residence. We kindly ask you to apply only if you are happy to work remotely as an independent contractor. This is our typical hiring process - occasionally, it may include extra steps.
