Join our team and create your future. The Sr. Compensation Analyst works collaboratively with the Sr. Director of Compensation and the HR Business Partners of the practice areas. This position is responsible for supporting the various compensation programs at Huron which includes market trend analysis, mid-year and year-end compensation planning and compensation technology. This role will assist the compensation team with the management of practice-specific compensation programs. The Compensation function at Huron is viewed by the executive team as very important to the success of the business. The Compensation group works very closely with finance, legal, benefits, the head of HR and the business leaders. This role requires the highest level of customer service, integrity, accuracy, ethical standards, and interest in working in a dynamic and collaborative team environment while also exercising appropriate autonomy when needed to meet job requirements. The Sr. Compensation Analyst is responsible for taking ownership in the following areas: • Lead the processed for international compensation, including review of market trends, benchmarking salary structures and serve as the compensation liaison with the international HR teams located in India, Canada and the UK • Conduct annual and ongoing market trend analysis for consulting and corporate structures • Serve as the liaison with salary survey vendors, including organizing salary survey submissions and consulting with for market trend information • Lead the transition of outsourcing tasks to the offshore team and later serve as liaison for all tasks completed outside of the compensation team • Maintain the stock administration process for the organization • Serve as the Project Manager for PayFactors, the Huron Market Compensation database • Conduct semi-monthly Pay Audits as part of the SOX compliance The Sr. Compensation Analyst will also act as a resource to the compensation team in the following areas: • Support the compensation leads dedicated to each Huron practice with practice-specific initiatives, including market pricing and salary modeling • Assist the Year-End compensation cycle, including testing files, bonus modeling and owning process communications and calendars • Provide support to the implementation of the compensation tool, Cornerstone, including testing and auditing Huron data Sr. Compensation Analyst are required to demonstrate a high level of performance in the following: • Client Relationship Management o Be recognized by your clients as a trusted strategic advisor through your understanding of their business and delivering compensation solutions that support the business needs o Provide a consistent level of communication and relevant data points keeping your clients informed of priorities, activity, results, and external market information o Establish and foster collaborative working relations with key clients and stakeholders that can include Business Leaders, HR, Operations, Recruiting, and Legal • Modeling and Analysis o Develop complex spreadsheet models for financial analyses to determine the impact of compensation plan design changes or new plan proposals o Run and compile various reports and documentation as requested by or in support of finance, accounting, operations and management o All reports, analysis and documentation created or provided must have the highest level of data integrity and accuracy; attention to detail is critical for this role • Administration and Compliance o Provide all support necessary to run the year-end and mid-year pay administration processes for assigned groups o Provide documentation, support and review to ensure SOX controls and compliance is maintained o Analyze jobs to evaluate FLSA status and maintain documentation validating evaluation • Communication o Education of employees related to stock plans and programs o Design and deliver compensation training and guidance o Provides guidance and education regarding compensation policies and procedures. o Partner with department managers to ensure that compensation programs, processes and competitive pay benchmarks are understood and aligned with the business strategy • Project Management o Lead projects of multi-disciplinary teams to accomplish CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS: Job Requirements: • • Huron requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to this position or equivalent work experience. • 2-4 years of related experience • Strong math and analytical skills • Expert knowledge of the use of Excel • Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and prioritize • Strong verbal and written communication stills, as well as strong interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications: • Experience o Experience in the professional services industry o Highly proficient in analytics and modeling o Knowledge of accounting and finance implications of compensation plans and programs o Knowledge of various HR technology systems, including UltiPro (HRIS), Cornerstone (Compensation Tool) and PayFactors (Market Database) • Skills o Exceptional organizational skills to manage data, manage multiple projects, coordinate and communicate across large teams • Attributes o Change agility and strong attention to detail to oversee multiple priorities, drive desired results and maintains client and team satisfaction o Thrive in a collaborative environment with the ability to capitalize on a diverse group of professional skills and personalities o Client service consultative mindset and acumen in developing and leading compensation programs in a complex, dynamic and fast-paced environment Other Information: • Travel for this position is minimal to none (0-5%) #LI-EA1 #LI-Remote The estimated base salary range for this job is $90,000-$120,000.
