The Senior Associate will lead financial modeling and valuation workstreams, drive due diligence, and support transaction execution. Role Overview Reporting to the Executive Director, Head of Direct Investments, the Senior Associate role at Camino Partners offers a unique opportunity to be at the center of the full investment lifecycle—sourcing, evaluating, executing, and supporting portfolio companies post- investment. As a key member of the direct investment team, the Senior Associate will work closely with Vice Presidents, the Executive Director, and senior leadership. You will gain early and direct exposure to founders, management teams, and industry leaders while building a strong foundation for a long-term career in growth equity. Key ResponsibilitiesInvestment Execution · Lead financial modeling and valuation workstreams with rigor ensuring identification of key variables. · Develop testable hypotheses and execute the key analyses to test them. · Drive components of due diligence and support transaction execution across legal, commercial, and financial workstreams. · Synthesize data findings in data packs and create investment memos that clearly prioritize and articulate the case for investment, including risk assessments and strategic opportunities. Sourcing & Origination · Develop and refine theses in priority sectors, identifying opportunities and risks through data-driven analysis and industry research. · Build proprietary deal flow by engaging founders, executives, and other trusted sources, and maintain a live pipeline with clear next actions. · Preempt processes by identifying promising companies early and cultivating relationships with management, leveraging senior leadership and the team. · Contribute to the establishment of top-of-funnel processes to enhance sourcing. Portfolio Management & Value Creation · Partner with portfolio company management teams to monitor performance, analyze KPIs, and identify growth levers. · Provide strategic and operational insights to help accelerate portfolio company success. · Support exit planning and liquidity events. Firm Building & Thought Leadership · Contribute to scaling the firm by improving internal processes, sharing best practices, and driving innovation. · Represent Camino Partners at industry events to enhance the firm’s visibility and relationships. Candidate Profile We are seeking a curious, high-performing, and driven investor who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment.
