Develop and maintain relationships with engineers, contractors, and developers in Florida to drive sales of building automation control products, manage projects, and meet sales quotas. | Minimum 5 years HVAC/building automation sales management experience, knowledge of Florida market, sales management in B2B environment, strong communication skills, estimating and proposal writing ability, valid driver’s license and passport, and willingness to travel. | Description: • Identify and develop relationships with Consulting Engineers, General Contractors, Developers and Property Owners throughout Florida • Cultivate Distech Control’s System Integrator base and Acuity Brands Lighting Agency relationships • Develop leads through lunch and learns, cold calls and networking events • Coordinate involvement of Company personnel including support, service and management resources to meet growth objectives • Promote Distech in the market, including working with Consulting Engineers and Architects • Actively participate in local professional organizations • Participate in various project management activities • Estimating and proposal writing for controls projects • Maintain accurate tracking of leads and opportunities utilizing the CRM • Achieve assigned sales quota and meet assigned expectations for profitability • Complete Client account plans and required training and development objectives • Maintain high Client satisfaction ratings and influence at all levels in client organizations Requirements: • Candidate should currently reside in the Florida area and understand the market landscape (existing relationships with GC, Consultants and Developers is a plus) • Four years University or College degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience • Minimum of 5 years of HVAC and/or Building Automation System sales management • Sales Management experience in a business-to-business environment, partnering with Engineers and Architects • Exceptional written, oral communication and presentation skills • Ability to multi-task and handle various priorities • Personal computer proficiency and excels in MS Office Applications • Extensive experience and capability to speak "up and down" the channel/construction cycle (designers, manufacturers, engineering firms, general contractors, etc.) • Experienced in a company that manufactures and markets technically complex controls products through a variety of distribution channels • Ability to assist with estimating controls projects and proposal writing • Valid driver’s license required • Valid passport required • This position requires travel • This position may require the employee to maintain a home-based office Benefits: • Generous benefits including health care • dental coverage • vision plans • 401K benefits • commissions/incentive compensation depending on the role
