About The Role: Lead the team that builds the face of YipitData. As our Senior Engineering Manager, Corporate Application Engineering, you will own the customer‑facing web applications that drive one of our fastest‑growing revenue lines. Reporting directly to the VP of Engineering, you’ll blend hands‑on architecture with strategic leadership to ship secure, scalable features that delight our corporate clients. Today you’ll manage three full‑stack engineers—front‑end and back‑end—but you’ll also shape the charter and grow the team in 2026. You’ll partner closely with our Head of Applications, Senior UI / UX Designers, as well as our 10‑person Corporate Data Engineering group to turn billions of data points into elegant user experiences. This is a remote friendly role, with periodic trips to our NYC headquarters for leadership summits and team‑building events. This is a remote-friendly opportunity that can sit in NYC (where our headquarter is located), one of our office hubs (Austin, Miami, Denver, Mountain View, or Seattle), or anywhere else in the US. However, depending upon where the remote work is performed, income could be subject to New York State tax withholding. As Our Head of Corporate Application Engineering You Will: Build & Ship Own the architecture and end‑to‑end delivery of the Corporate Portal—the primary interface for our enterprise customers. Design secure, extensible workflows for analytics dashboards, granular access controls (RBAC), and content management. Lead integrations and system shifts in partnership with the Platform Engineering team to ensure a cohesive technology stack. Leverage AI tools like Claude Code, Cursor, Chat GPT to improve personal and team productivity, code quality, and documentation. Optimize & Scale Oversee existing systems to improve performance, scalability, and reliability. Enhance our internal development and deployment practices, ensuring streamlined processes and robust system health. Proactively identify areas for system improvements and implement strategic solutions. Lead, Grow & Coach Run the full Agile cycle in Jira: backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, retros, and release demos. Mentor three talented full‑stack engineers today—and recruit, hire, and onboard additional engineers to support business growth. Provide clear technical direction, constructive code reviews, and career‑growth feedback while staying close enough to the codebase to unblock engineers. You Are Likely To Succeed If: Deep, modern engineering expertise — 10 + years developing and operating full‑stack, cloud‑hosted applications, with at least 3 years serving as the technical lead or manager for customer‑facing products. Comfortable writing production code, conducting architecture reviews, and unblocking teammates while simultaneously shaping strategy and people development. Scalable‑systems résumé — you’ve designed and maintained secure, highly‑available workflows for analytics dashboards, fine‑grained access controls (RBAC), or content management at meaningful traffic and data volumes. Agile mastery — run end‑to‑end Scrum/Kanban in Jira (refinement → sprint planning → daily stand‑ups → demos/retros), using metrics to drive continuous improvement in velocity and quality.
