Position Overview Woolpert is hiring a Data Integrations Engineer to join our dynamic Cloud Solutions and Interdisciplinary Services (CSIS) team. This position reports to the Software Engineer Squad Lead. This part-time role involves assisting with data pipeline development, performing data analysis, and supporting integration efforts with customer systems. What You Will Do: Assist in gathering and analyzing business data requirements under the guidance of senior engineers. Support the development and maintenance of ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate data from various sources and Cama Systems. Help troubleshoot and document existing customer systems and integration points (e.g., SQL, Oracle, AS/400, Informix). Perform basic code/configuration changes and scripting tasks related to SQL databases and data transformation, and configurations packages. Write and maintain simple scripts in HTML and SQL to support data processing tasks. Conduct research on customer systems to understand business processes and data constraints. Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency. Document data processes and contribute to internal knowledge sharing. Follow security best practices and company policies for handling sensitive data. Participate in agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project goals. What You Will Bring: U.S. Citizenship (required). Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). 3-5 years of experience in CAMA system integrations, or a related technical role. Foundational knowledge of SQL and familiarity with relational databases. Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and interest in learning cloud-based data tools. Experience in integration tools and protocols (e.g., ODBC, REST APIs, VPN/RDP). Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills. Good communication and documentation abilities. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take direction from senior engineers. Proficiency in data architecture, data quality, and secure data practices. Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting CAMA system integrations and workflows under the guidance of senior engineers. Help document operational procedures, deployment steps, and integrations configurations. Participate in version control practices using Git and contribute to code reviews and pull requests. Assist in setting up alerts and notifications for data pipeline health and error tracking. Contribute to data quality efforts by helping implement validation checks and logging mechanisms.
