This role is part of the Spares Department, which manages all spare parts orders and supports manufacturing operations. THIS POSITION: The Material Handling Specialist ensures accurate and timely fulfillment of spares orders for manufacturing. This role requires strong computer skills for daily order processing and inventory management, as well as the ability to operate a forklift occasionally to move pallets when needed. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this position is critical to maintaining workflow efficiency and customer satisfaction. Position Responsibilities: • Process spares orders daily using SAP and other computer systems; maintain accurate documentation. • Pull and verify correct quantities of parts, perform quality checks, and resolve discrepancies promptly. • Prepare and package kits for manufacturing, coordinate shipping paperwork, and ensure compliance with documentation standards. • Research bin locations and delivery dates in SAP to support timely fulfillment. • Operate a forklift occasionally to move pallets or materials as needed. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Ability to operate heavy equipment (forklift) • Ability to operate and enter data on computer. • Ability to manage time effectively for on-time deliveries. • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, blueprints, and procedure manuals. • Ability to use measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers. • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with physical demands (lifting up to 50 lbs).
