The individual is responsible for analyzing user needs and developing solutions to those needs while adhering to and maintaining best practice, organizational and regulatory standards as determined by IT and Organizational Leadership. The Applications Analyst will develop a clear understanding of the software and tools used to meet the needs of the end user following developed standards. Responsibilities include working with end-users, vendors and internal IT staff supporting business/clinical processes and facilitating cohesive integration of software applications with business and clinical operations. The Applications Analyst will include a subspecialty in designing and delivering training documentation for software used in business and clinical processes. This includes business and clinical analysis, training materials, user guides, building, testing, and maintaining training environments. The Applications Analyst may be required to provide support coverage 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. This role will provide support for Epic based outpatient applications-primarily EpicCare Ambulatory but may also include Bones, Kaleidoscope, Healthy Planet, Beans, Beacon, and Care Everywhere. Level offered will be at hiring manager's discretion and based on education and experience. Education: • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is strongly preferred • For Epic Application support, certification is required within 120 days of hire with a maximum of three attempts. Experience: • Preferred: At least 3 years of experience with application and/or training support. • Alternatively: 3+ years of experience in IT support, education, clinical, or a related role. This position involves assisting with personal hygiene, mobility, feeding, and basic health-related tasks, while also fostering emotional well-being and maintaining a safe, clean environment. HHAs are expected to follow individualized care plans and adapt to residents’ changing needs, always upholding the hospital’s values of Respect, Efficiency, Accountability, and Caring (REACH). Education & Requirements Candidates must be at least 18 years old and have completed a New York State Department of Health-approved training program, with current HHA certification. They should demonstrate emotional maturity, physical and mental stability, and be able to communicate effectively in English and the predominant language of the residents. Annual participation in 12 hours of in-service education is required. Strong interpersonal skills, a sympathetic attitude, and the ability to follow instructions and maintain records are essential. Per diem work requirements: minimum of 2 days per month. Responsibilities HHAs provide personal care such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and feeding assistance. They help with mobility, accompany residents to appointments, and assist with medical tasks like catheter care and administering eye drops or suppositories. Light housekeeping and laundry are part of the role, along with promoting mental alertness through conversation and activities. HHAs are expected to observe and report changes in residents’ conditions and offer emotional support to both residents and their families. This is a bargaining union position.
