Read more in our Press Release Key Responsibilities • Perform hands-on testing, measurement, and failure analysis in a 12-hour shift environment. • Perform routine and special testing on metal parts and samples, including tensile testing, hardness testing, and salt spray testing. • Conduct metallurgical sample preparation for failure analysis and material investigations. • Operate a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) for dimensional inspections with precision and discipline. • Support engineers and Quality leadership in failure analysis, generating data and reports essential to root-cause investigation. • Use manual inspection tools with expert-level accuracy: calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, indicators, and gage blocks. • Read blueprints, tolerances, and GD&T like a tactical map. • Take major responsibility for managing the calibration program for measurement equipment across the facility. • Maintain calibration records, coordinate internal/external activities, and ensure every instrument is battle-ready. • Maintain clean, organized, audit-ready lab conditions at all times. • Record, analyze, and report data with zero compromise on accuracy. • Support compliance to ISO 9001 requirements with rigorous documentation and system discipline. Required Qualifications • Hands-on experience performing mechanical testing (tensile, hardness, salt spray) and dimensional inspections. • Experience in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment is mandatory. • Skilled in the use of precision measurement equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.).• Ability to operate a CMM; experience with Zeiss systems is a major plus. • Strong capability in sample prep, test setup, and failure analysis support. • Detail-driven, disciplined, and relentless about accuracy. • Strong documentation and communication skills. • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for 12+ hours per day, lift 50 lbs. regularly Preferred Qualifications • Experience programming a Zeiss CMM (Calypso or similar). • ASQ certifications such as CQT or CQI. • Experience in metal-focused manufacturing such as forging, machining, casting, heat treating, or related environments.
