The Commercialization Leader – Smart Services plays a critical role in our broader sales enablement efforts, working in partnership with product management and the Sales Center of Excellence (COE). This is an opportunity for a driven associate that excels in motivating others with experienced facilitation, sales, and presentation skills in a collaborative, data rich, technical, and customer focused environment. You will own the roll out and continuous improvement of Smart Services sales enablement, and will work with field personnel (General Management, Sales Leadership, Operations Leadership, and Technicians) to make sure they have the training and support they need to effectively sell and execute the offerings profitably. As the main point of contact for the field for any questions about the offerings, you’ll be responsible for office visits, training, coaching, and on-going communication to drive consistency and growth across the regions. You will lead the development of training collateral and support the product management and marketing teams to provide input into overall sales strategy development. This remote role will be responsible for commercializing Smart Services offerings and developing a strong sales pipeline to launch and grow new offerings through the North America sales channels. There will be a heavy emphasis on training sales and operations personnel, driving best practices across regions, gathering feedback from field to improve Smart Service products, and accelerating the maturity of our regions in their Smart Services business using digitally enabled tools. This role requires exceptional communication skills and a sales strategy growth mindset to develop best sales practices, customer messaging and aligned external and internal value propositions to drive the growth of our digitally enabled Smart Services offers. What You Will Do (Essential Functions) - Commercialize new and existing Smart Services offerings for North America sales channels. - Provide customer support for sales and fulfillment channels within the Smart Services portfolio (i.e. leadership presentations, strategic sales skills, product & services demonstrations, operations training, etc.) - Practice LEAN principles with regular gap analysis and new solution ideas to continuously improve standard work and best practices that address current field and customer challenges and needs. - In partnership with the Product Management Team, develop and facilitate virtual and in-person field office training initiatives and launch new development demonstrations of new and existing offerings. - Provide Product Management with voice of customer and Trane associates regarding required functionality and/or offering configuration. - Support Sales COE by providing input to strategy, needed escalations to regional leadership, and content for monthly general audience communications. What you will do: • Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and developing communication plans with both internal and external stakeholders to provide timely project updates. • Leads all aspects of project administration including, responsibility for knowledge of and adherence to contract penalty clauses and / or liquidated damages, analyzing reporting to identify. project deficiencies and provides guidance on corrective actions, managing projects to business compliance, project documentation, safety guidelines, and maneuvering through governing agencies requirements including the state, city, county, federal and local level. • Financially manages all aspects of projects including cash flow, monthly forecasted cost / revenue, forecasted cost at completion, monitoring expenses, collections support, applied cost, and oversees preparation and communications for monthly backlog review with leaders. • Validate project scope, cost, schedule by reviewing contract documents, holding internal meetings and establishing customer expectations, and identify risks and developing mitigation plans. • Utilizes properly qualified subcontractors, oversees subcontractor RFQ process, awards subcontracts, manages subcontractor execution, and collaborates with subcontractors to establish communication guidelines for project progress, project meetings, billing expectations and project safety. • Create and maintain project schedules utilizing tasks, dependencies, milestones.
