This Data Engineer role is focused on developing intelligent, scalable data solutions that drive insight and automation across the agency. Applied Data Science & Modeling Analyze large, complex datasets to uncover patterns, trends, and actionable insights that inform strategic decisions across the agency. Design and implement data transformation workflows using SQL, Python, and Snowflake-native features (e.g., Streams, Tasks, Snowpark) to prepare data for modeling and analysis. Develop scalable, analytics-ready data models and semantic layers in Snowflake to support self-service exploration and advanced reporting. Build and optimize data lake architectures that enable secure, governed access to structured and semi-structured data for data science and analytics use cases. Automation & Development Apply machine learning and AI services (e.g., Azure Machine Learning, Cognitive Services) to develop predictive models, intelligent agents, and automation pipelines that enhance operational efficiency and decision-making. Perform advanced data wrangling and feature engineering to support model development and experimentation. Implement data quality and monitoring frameworks to ensure the reliability and integrity of analytical outputs. Collaboration & Agile Delivery Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-impact, data-driven solutions aligned with business goals. Promote best practices in data science, including reproducibility, model validation, documentation, and ethical data use.
