The role combines distributed systems expertise with a deep understanding of cloud performance characteristics, around storage, networking, I/O, and compute resource behavior. The role requires a deep understanding of data platform architecture and scalability tradeoffs. Teradata core platform is evolving with elastic compute, and our goal is to achieve greater elasticity by unlocking scalability in our environment. Ideal candidate will be able to assess these architectural constraints, propose strategic improvements, and lead efforts to enhance system elasticity through thoughtful, data-driven platform modifications.
