Role Overview: As Vice President, Corporate Controller, you will be a key strategic partner to the CFO, leading Teachstone’s financial transformation and preparing the company for its next phase of growth, and supporting long-term financial planning in preparation for potential future growth opportunities, such as strategic partnerships or an initial public offering. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will oversee all accounting operations to build a public-company-ready function that ensures accurate, timely, and transparent financial reporting. This role is both strategic and hands-on, responsible for creating scalable processes, establishing robust internal controls, and partnering across the organization to enhance financial decision-making. You will build and lead the accounting function through its modernization efforts and be a critical contributor to the overall financial & administrative strategy of the company. Role Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day operations of accounting, including general ledger, project accounting, AP/AR, payroll, revenue recognition, and month-end close. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and company policies. Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Manage audit activities and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors. Collaborate with the Tax director and outside advisors on implementing the tax strategy. Establish, document, and maintain a robust system of internal controls sufficient to withstand Big Four audit scrutiny for a public offering. Partner with the CFO to own and manage the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, providing data-driven financial models and analysis. Evaluate and improve accounting systems and tools to drive efficiency and scale. Drive automation and process improvement initiatives to streamline workflows. Support pricing, margin analysis, and financial modeling in collaboration with finance leadership. Partner with the CFO and other executives to provide actionable financial insights. Build, scale, and mentor a high-performing accounting team, including assessing current talent and hiring for key roles to support strategic growth. Role Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA required. Minimum of 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 4+ years in a leadership role. Deep understanding of GAAP and internal control frameworks, with experience designing and implementing public-company-ready controls. Demonstrated expertise in complex technical accounting areas, including ASC 606 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers), ASC 718 (Stock-Based Compensation), and capitalization of software development costs. Proven experience in modernizing accounting operations and leading process improvement initiatives in a high-growth environment. Experience managing audits and working with external advisors. Strong systems orientation; experience with Salesforce, Certinia (formerly FinancialForce), and ERP implementations preferred. Highly proficient in Excel and financial reporting tools. Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders. Collaborative and proactive leadership style with a strong sense of accountability. Requirements: • Experience: 5+ years in product management with experience on AI-powered products, ideally with experience managing mature, revenue-generating product suites and improving client engagement metrics. • Familiarity with working in a product operating model, including experience with empowered teams and value stream alignment. • Proven ability to navigate and influence in complex stakeholder environments with competing priorities. • Demonstrated strength in prioritization, product storytelling, and helping others understand the why behind product decisions. • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and an ability to work transparently and constructively across design, engineering, and business teams. • Customer-Centricity: Demonstrated ability to synthesize high-volume customer inputs into actionable product changes. Role Overview We are seeking CLASS Classroom Observers to join our team to conduct CLASS observations in Infant, Toddler, and Pre-Kindergarten (2008) classrooms for the Army Project. Observers must be trained and reliable on the CLASS tool for the age level being observed. Observers must keep their CLASS certification current throughout the project and complete ongoing calibration as directed by project leadership. Certification, Fidelity, and Data Collection: • Current Pre-K, Infant, and Toddler CLASS tool certification • Participate successfully in ongoing calibrations as directed by project leadership. • Within 24 hours of each observation, complete post-observation data entry • Adhere strictly to all CLASS observation and project-specific protocols at all stages of the project, from training and certification to observation and data entry, and record-keeping. • Interact with school administration, office staff, and teachers professionally and courteously. • Use online communication and invoicing tools such as Slack (training on specific platforms provided). You Bring • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Child development or Education preferred • Fluent in English • Current Certifications in the following CLASS Assessment: Infant, Toddler, & Pre-K (2008) • Demonstrated attention to detail, punctuality, and organization Preferred Qualifications • Experience using the CLASS tool to conduct live observations is preferred. • Experience conducting observations or administering assessments in school settings is preferred. • Experience in quantitative or qualitative data collection is preferred.
