As a Senior Account Executive, you will sell brokerage services to existing and new customers, focusing on top-tier and strategic accounts, achieving personal sales targets and developing new business. What your day-to-day will look like: Independently search for, identify and develop leads from trusted sources and through cold calling in order to secure sales and load volume to meet or exceed established goals Negotiate with established and developing customers to secure profitable rates and client satisfaction; may also negotiate assessorial rates and services to loads Maintain a strong understanding of the industry including rates, carriers, load capacities and equipment; may manage year-round contacts and top-tier customers Collaborate with team members to secure the terms of sale (negotiating rates and identifying carries and specialized equipment); serve as a resource for junior colleagues looking for direction and expertise Follow established procedures and protocols regarding all loads to ensure the integrity of the shipment and the RXO brand Serve as a resource for RFPs regarding load capacity and rates by lanes, as needed Update internal tracking and reporting systems throughout the day for maintaining accuracy in sales and volume What you’ll need to excel: At a minimum, you’ll need: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience 2 years of professional sales experience It’d be great if you also have: Bachelor’s degree 2 years of experience in transportation or Third-Party Logistics (3PL) Does this sound like you?
