This company is looking for a Logistics Manager to oversee domestic freight, imports/exports, and global shipping operations. This is a critical role, replacing the current leader, and we are moving quickly. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of domestic operations leadership and international trade expertise, with proven experience managing customs, bonded warehouses, FTZ processes, and negotiating high-volume contracts with carriers. This is a highly visible role, reporting directly into senior leadership, with responsibility across three divisions and multiple U.S. sites. Key Responsibilities • Lead and develop a logistics team covering domestic and international shipments. • Oversee imports/exports, including customs clearance, tariffs, HS codes, bonded warehouses, and FTZ compliance. • Negotiate contracts with steamship lines and trucking carriers; proactively manage spot market opportunities. • Own the commercial side of logistics contracts, ensuring cost-effective solutions across the supply chain. • Manage relationships with 3PLs while building direct carrier relationships to reduce reliance on intermediaries. • Analyze freight spend, create forecasts, and develop KPI dashboards for leadership. • Drive continuous improvement in logistics processes, warehousing, and material handling. • Ensure compliance with all domestic and international regulations. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree required. • 15+ years of combined domestic and international logistics experience. • Proven expertise in imports/exports, customs, tariffs, bonded warehouses, FTZs, and HS codes. • Strong negotiation skills with carriers and freight forwarders. • Skilled in Excel and data analysis for logistics planning and cost optimization. • Excellent communication and leadership skills; able to influence across departments. • Proactive, assertive, and results-driven mindset. This role will lead large-scale programs focused on root cause analysis, defect elimination, digitization, and operational readiness, delivering measurable improvements in cost, safety, and performance. The ideal candidate is a proven change agent with a background in LNG, oil & gas, or other industrial sectors, capable of influencing cross-functional teams and embedding sustainable process excellence.
