What you’ll do as a Staff Engineer at Proof: • * Design and scale data pipelines and storage layers to support analytics, product features, and internal tooling. • Work with the data team to build and maintain ETL pipelines including Postgres and ADX, ensuring data quality and discoverability across the company. • Partner with engineers and SREs to investigate performance issues, provide metrics that highlight bottlenecks, and help teams make data-driven optimizations. • Contribute to cross-region architecture and disaster-recovery strategy by ensuring data services and pipelines are resilient and globally available. • Develop internal tools and dashboards (ADX, Grafana) to make operational and product data accessible and actionable. • Streamline CI/CD processes for data services and automate infrastructure using Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools. • Implement security and compliance best practices for data at rest and in motion. What we’re looking for: • * Interest in managing Azure Data Explorer (ADX) clusters and their schemas, including ingestion patterns, scaling and resiliency. • Deep understanding of SQL and experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases in production. • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure preferred) and modern data storage (S3, data warehouses). • Exposure to observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent) and an interest in performance analysis. • Collaborative, self-directed, and eager to partner with application and SRE teams to drive performance improvements.
