Key Responsibilities: • Develop new and maintain existing specification position within all available documents such as Master, Project, Budget, and Structural Drawings with PPG's inclusion within the Structural Steel, Fireproofing, Flooring, Pipe, Tank, Secondary Containment, and Field Painting Schedule and Specifications. • Develop multiple contacts within the firm and contract chain to identify sources of influences vertically throughout the firm's organization. • Identify and track the contract chain progression including awards of key projects within USCA (United States & Canada) or globally by firm and/or owner. • Communicate all useful project development, contract awards and developments to the commercial team, management and other members of Engineering and Projects organization, regardless of project location. • Utilize company provided market data, including project data to both identify new project opportunities and track ongoing opportunities. • Record, maintain, and report key intelligence within company provided CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software. • Actively participate in industry associations to develop contacts and gathering client/customer and competitor intelligence. Key Responsibilities • You will manage 4 Manufacturing Sites (Mojave CA, Shelby NC – To be constructed, Wallingford CT, and Avon MA), and the USCA Coatings and Sealants Supply Chain CoE Manager • Be engaged in Safety and Quality; lead by example and ensure operational discipline and compliance with both company and regulatory requirements are fulfilled for all departments on site. • Monitor and review Environmental, Health, and Safety performance; ensure compliance and continuous improvement in striving for a risk-free manufacturing environment. • Build and develop an operations and supply chain culture that has a bias for action, commitment to value-added services/processes. • Monitor and improve Key Performance Indicators; lead corrective action to deviations to plan. • Facilitate communications throughout the sites and within the respective Business, Program, and Teams offsite. • Collaborate with the teams leading S&OP, Supplier Management and Development, and Procurement aligning on both the tactical and strategic needs of the business. • Lead and direct the analysis of alternative approaches and methodologies necessary to deliver efficiencies and simplicity. • Aim to ensure that the service requirements for performance, as dictated by internal and external customers, are achieved. • Develop and manage the strategies and processes of the operational functions within the business; ensure agreement and progress on process standardization, accomplishment, and collaboration. • Delegates work assignments while matching responsibilities to the employee; set expectations and monitors performance while providing feedback and recognition of results. • Deliver financial commitments to operating plans; achieve expense, variance, and production plans as budgeted. • Participate in Working Capital management, including regular communication and action to address deviations to plan. • Anticipate technological industry changes and review opportunities to enhance operations to increase productivity, support business growth, and deliver competitive advantages. • Produce ideas and plans to enhance the performance of the manufacturing site, e.g., safety, process, rate, yields and quality improvement through lean manufacturing and six sigma concepts. Stimulate plant managers and sites personnel to think outside the box. • Guide the root cause/corrective action process for critical issues and ensure that all corrective actions are completed and sustained and drive the predicted results. • Conformance with the PPG and SBU Quality and EH&S policies. Ensure MOCs, RCCA for EHS CARs and Quality CARs are completed as expected Qualifications • Only U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, and political asylees or refugees are eligible to apply. • Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline, engineering is ideal. • 10+ years of operations and engineering experience, in a discrete manufacturing operation.
