Drive strategic vision, manage project portfolios, and facilitate cross-functional initiatives in the division. | Minimum 7 years leadership experience with strong strategic planning, project management, and communication skills. | Summary Helps to drive the strategic division vision, operating model, communications and planning activities, and outcomes for the Field Experience and Engagement division. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Strategic Planning Directs division strategy development and execution, ensuring alignment with key business priorities and outcomes. Leads division strategic initiatives that drive business value. Collaborates, plans and organizes with and through people to bridge strategies across teams. Business Operations Responsible for strategy and planning to align business operations with the company's overarching strategy, mission and goals. Identifies gaps between ideal and current state of operating model and recommends solutions to close the gaps. Facilitates execution of division operating model to improve the health of the department and organization. Exhibits high level of local (department/division) business acumen to identify and solve complex operational or organizational problems and identify innovative solutions. Project Management Partners with department/division leadership team to identify and track priority work, including identifying business outcomes and key metrics, portfolio management of key department priorities, developing strategy for project execution, and creating transparency on priority work in the department/division and throughout the enterprise. Leads teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Meeting Planning & Leadership Development Support Plans and prepares agendas for staff or leadership meetings and planning sessions. Participates in regular leadership meetings to evaluate barriers to success and develop courses of action to overcome issues at the department/division level. Impacts the achievement of operational or project objectives and ensures alignment of department/division priorities to organizational strategy. Facilitates cross-functional initiatives and the flow of information between stakeholders and other teams. Coordinates requests for information from stakeholders and prepares reports and presentations in response. Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Communications Support & Delivery Lead a consultant (P3) responsible for field and home office communications content creation and coordination Conceptualizes, creates, and implements divisional communications plans and deliverables to support our field and home office partners Leverages data to identify needs, inform plans, and evaluate effectiveness Proactive professional who has ability to collaborate, build trust and rapport, provide counsel, and develop productive working relationships with business partners at all levels. Strong writer with the ability to quickly grasp complex topics, synthesize, and distill concepts by writing for a variety of audiences Qualifications: Minimum of 7 years' business leadership experience with some form of people leadership experience Proven leadership skills working with diverse teams. Superior interpersonal skills to lead a group of people. Experience in portfolio and/or project management, strategic and operational planning, and leading multiple complex projects with organization-wide impact. Demonstrated organizational agility to work across organizational boundaries, influence, and collaborate with all levels on solutions that benefit the organization. Ability to work horizontally w/ shared priorities elevate functional priorities over department objectives. Exceptional business acumen and focus on achieving business impact through progressive practices and sound business judgment. Ability to translate goals and strategies into executable business plans. Demonstrated learning agility and outside-in perspective to identify future trends and practices. Strong problem solving and strategic/critical thinking skills. Facilitation and team building skills; ability to play an active, operational and communicative role. Pro-active and an ability to anticipate needs for a range of broad / complex business problems and staying ahead of them; comfortable working in an ambiguous environment. Compensation Range: Pay Range - Start: $118,960.00 Pay Range - End: $178,440.00 Geographic Specific Pay Structure: Structure 110: $130,880.00 USD - $196,320.00 USD Structure 115: $136,800.00 USD - $205,200.00 USD We believe in fairness and transparency. Design and develop integrated FinTech solutions with Python, React, Terraform, and AWS infrastructure. | Requires strong FinTech background and proficiency in Python, Typescript, SQL, Snowflake, DBT, and AWS cloud infrastructure. | The Senior Software Engineer at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin will leverage FinTech background to facilitate the design and development of integrated solutions, modernizing, consolidating, and coordinating independently designed applications to meet business needs. Design and develop extracts within vendor systems for consumption by Snowflake via Snowpipe and DBT. Develop comprehensive solutions within Snowflake. Design and develop modern applications in a variety of frameworks (Python, React/Redux, Typescript, and SQL). Write complex SQL queries to pull data for systems processing and analysis efforts. Design serverless components for new-real-time integration between data products. Design and develop computational engines to perform complex investment analysis and calculations. Create infrastructure and deployment pipelines leveraging Terraform and AWS services. Create data sets and dashboards to meet reporting requirements of business. Adhere to and manage DevOps best practices to ensure cost optimization, performance optimization and infrastructure maintenance.
