(W2) Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our dental care team. In this role, you will enhance the efficiency and quality of patient care by performing advanced clinical duties under the supervision of a dentist. This position is ideal for a hands-on professional who thrives in a surgical setting and is dedicated to ensuring patient comfort, safety, and high-quality outcomes. Responsibilities • Place and finish dental restorations (fillings) after the dentist prepares the tooth. • Take accurate impressions for temporary crowns, bridges, and diagnostic models. • Fabricate and place temporary crowns and bridges. • Perform coronal polishing and fluoride treatments. • Apply sealants and desensitizing agents as directed. • Provide chairside support to dentists during restorative, prosthodontic, and endodontic treatments. • Take and process dental radiographs. • Maintain sterilization standards and infection control protocols. • Accurately chart treatment notes and update patient records. • Monitor inventory, prepare trays, and ensure efficient clinical flow. • Assist the front office team with patient coordination as needed. Required Skills & Experience • 1–2 years of dental assisting experience. • Strong knowledge of restorative procedures and dental materials. • Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail. Preferred Skills & Experience • Previous EFDA experience. Education • High school diploma or GED (required). Certifications & Licensure • EFDA Certification (required). • CPR Certification (required). • Completion of a dental radiography course (required).
