At least 1 year pediatric dental assistant experience, accredited Dental Assistant program completion, valid X-ray license, CPR and Coronal Polishing certifications, and ability to work with children.

(W2) Job Summary We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support pediatric dental care delivery by ensuring a safe, comfortable, and positive experience for young patients and their families. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. Responsibilities • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments for pediatric dental procedures. • Assist dentists chairside during treatments while ensuring patient comfort. • Educate children and parents on proper oral hygiene and post-treatment care. • Take and process dental radiographs as directed. • Maintain accurate patient records and assist with scheduling appointments. • Manage dental supply inventory and ensure proper sterilization of instruments. • Adhere to infection control, OSHA compliance, and safety standards. • Provide reassurance and emotional support to pediatric patients before, during, and after treatment. Required Skills & Experience • Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience as a Pediatric Dental Assistant. • Ability to build trust and rapport with children and their families. • Proficiency in tasks such as x-rays, operatory setup/breakdown, and chairside assisting. Education • Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program (required). Certifications & Licensure • Valid X-ray license (required). • CPR certification (required). • Coronal Polishing certification (required). • Nitrous Oxide certification (preferred).
