As the in-house expert for Motive’s Equipment Monitoring solutions (asset gateways, environmental sensors, beacon location devices, door sensors, etc.), you will partner closely with Account Executives (AEs) to drive specialized product conversations and support the full sales cycle. This role requires a consultative, customer-centric approach combined with deep technical fluency, meticulous follow-through, and seamless collaboration across Sales, Product, and Implementation teams. Serve as the in-house expert for Motive’s Equipment Monitoring solutions (asset gateways, beacons, telematics). Collaborate with Account Executives (AEs) mid-funnel to drive specialized product discussions, from initial pitch through implementation handoff. Collaborate with AEs to identify whitespace accounts who would be excellent candidates to target for Equipment Monitoring Balance a consultative, customer-centric approach with deep technical/functional knowledge to articulate ROI and differentiate Motive’s solution. Required Skills & Qualifications Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in fleet management, heavy equipment, or construction tech environments. Familiarity with ROI-based solution selling in both mid-market and enterprise segments. Background working in a quota-carrying overlay or specialized sales role where cross-functional collaboration was essential. Comfortable using typical sales tech stacks (Salesforce, LinkedIn Navigator, outreach tools) and presentation software (Google Slides, PowerPoint). Technical Fluency Ability to understand and confidently discuss device setup, network connectivity, and integration with cloud-based platforms. Strongly Preferred: Prior experience with telematics, IoT hardware, or equipment monitoring solutions. Sales Acumen Proven success in consultative or solution-based selling environments—especially for complex or hardware-based products. Skilled at ROI presentation, TCO (total cost of ownership) analysis, and business value articulation for enterprise-level accounts. Communication & Presentation Adept at distilling complex technical concepts into clear, digestible terms for multiple audience types (technical, operational, C-suite). Comfort with adjusting tone and content on-the-fly, ensuring each stakeholder feels heard and understood. Key Responsibilities Product Expertise & Demonstrations Become the go-to authority on our Equipment Monitoring suite: configuration details, hardware specs, integration workflows, and competitive landscape. Conduct tailored product demos and technical deep-dives for prospective customers at varying levels of sophistication. Consult with Product team on features, functionality, and new product roadmap for maximum product market fit. Consultative Customer Engagement Listen to and dissect customer challenges, mapping needs to Motive’s Equipment Monitoring solutions. Adapt conversations to the customer’s technical aptitude and business goals—ranging from high-level ROI discussions to in-depth hardware specifics. Communicate any product gaps or advanced requests back to product teams, balancing feasibility with honest, accurate timelines for customers. Collaboration with AEs Work hand-in-hand with the AE, aligning on deal strategy and ensuring no overlap or confusion in roles. Support the AE by adding credibility as a neutral product expert rather than a purely sales-driven voice. Share ownership of the Equipment Monitoring deal pipeline and collaborate on territory planning once the account signals interest. Proposal & Presentation Development Customize decks, data sheets, or ROI calculators that speak directly to individual customer pain points. Provide clarity on cost-benefit models, ramp timelines, and the long-term value proposition for asset tracking hardware. Detailed Follow-Through Capture every customer question, concern, or “wish list” item—no matter how small—and ensure it’s addressed promptly. Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Implementation, Customer Success, Product) to provide accurate, timely updates. Maintain comprehensive notes and action items, ensuring commitments are tracked to completion. Implementation Handoff & Post-Sale Transition Guide customers through initial onboarding steps to help them deploy hardware and start measuring ROI quickly. Facilitate a seamless handoff to Implementation and CS teams while staying accessible if deeper product expertise is required. About the Role: The Global Supply Chain & Trade Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring Motive's international supply chain and hardware logistics operations comply with global trade laws, environmental standards, and ethical sourcing expectations. Reporting to the Associate General Counsel, ESG, this role blends hands-on regulatory analysis, documentation management, supplier engagement, and sustainability/ESG initiatives. The position supports both risk mitigation and operational excellence through practical collaboration across Product, Engineering, Legal, Supply Chain, and business teams. What You'll Do: Trade Compliance & Customs • Support the team on import/export regulations, customs laws, sanctions, and tariff developments across priority markets (US, Mexico, UK, EU). • Guide product classification (HTS codes), ECCN, and country-of-origin determinations for customs, ensuring compliant filings and duty optimization under manager guidance. • Collaborate with brokers, freight forwarders, and legal counsel to facilitate accurate declarations, clearance, escalating complex trade issues when needed. • Work cross-functionally with the supply-chain and engineering teams to ensure compliance with trade and customs matters. • Monitor regulatory updates and advise the team on changes affecting the business as directed. Supply Chain Operations & Sustainability • Help coordinate documentation required for end-to-end movement of hardware and components, (shipping, warehousing, and distribution). • Assist in supplier assessments with a focus on environmental practices, responsible sourcing, and reduction of carbon footprint, waste, and packaging. • Work with cross-functional teams to advance ESG commitments—GHG reduction, sustainability reporting, and responsible sourcing initiatives. Documentation, Systems & Support • Prepare, review, maintain, and audit trade and sustainability documents (e.g., commercial invoices, bills of lading, certificates of origin, supplier ESG certifications) under manager oversight. • Own accurate management of compliance and sustainability data in ERP/legal systems (NetSuite, Coupa), flag discrepancies, and coordinate fixes with the team. • Respond to internal requests for information related to compliance or sustainability documentation, escalating matters that require complex problem-solving or risk assessment. • Act as a liaison between Legal, Engineering, Logistics, and ESG stakeholders, driving updates for supply chain compliance and product launches. Process Improvement & Training • Suggest improvements to standard operating procedures around sourcing, vendor management, compliance testing, and documentation. • Assist in preparing materials for training and best practices to internal and external partners related to trade regulations, sustainability, and responsible supply chain operations. The organization is based on account sets and round robins, not geographic territories. This candidate will report directly to a Director of Emerging Mid-Market and will be part of the tight-knit Mid-Market Sales Leadership team, managed by the VP of Sales. As an exceptional technical engineer and self-starter, you are able to design, execute, and test complex system features on a range of Linux, Android and real-time operating systems. This role will help build the next-generation Hardware platforms for Motive. You understand how to design and develop modular software features in a collaborative environment and agile team. Lead and develop a team of Account Executives in Mid-Market SaaS sales to meet quota targets and optimize sales processes. | 2-3+ years frontline sales management experience in software/hardware sales, strong Salesforce skills, bachelor's degree, and ability to coach and scale sales teams. | About the Role: We are looking for a high performing frontline Sales Manager in SaaS, to lead a team of Account Executives in the Mid-Market Sales segment. This is a tremendous opportunity to join a high-performing sales division, in a fast-paced, high-performing company, in an industry that is rapidly expanding. About the Mid-Market Segment: Motive has three segments: SMB, Mid-Market, and Enterprise. Mid-Market is defined as any company with a total fleet size of between 50-149 vehicles. The AE’s have approximately 1-5 years of quota carrying experience, or they were recently promoted from the SDR/BDR org and are in a closing role for the first time. The sales process involves a technical win, oftentimes with a hardware/software trial (POC). The AE’s are paired with Sales Engineers throughout the sales cycle, and the Account Management team owns the relationship post-close. There are currently 12 RSMs with roughly 7 AE’s per RSM. The organization is based on account sets and round robins, not geographic territories. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record hiring, managing, scaling and optimizing SaaS sales teams to consistently perform at or above quota. This candidate will report directly to a Director of Emerging Mid-Market and will be part of the tight-knit Mid-Market Sales Leadership team, managed by the VP of Sales. What You'll Do: • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly quota targets • Interview, hire, ramp and develop new talent to scale the organization • Coach, up-level and support tenured AE’s to drive consistent, high-performance • Ensure diligent execution of the sales processes • Accurately forecast your team’s monthly and quarterly performance • Identify opportunities for improvement and surface risk to plan achievement • Collaborate with peers and cross-functional teams to improve internal processes (ie. SDR, SE, CSM Leadership, The Partners Team, Marketing, Sales Enablement, Product, Deal Desk) What We're Looking For: • 2-3+ years experience as a frontline sales manager, directly managing Account Executives in Software and/or Software/Hardware Sales • Identify areas of opportunity, recommend solutions, take ownership of implementation and/or project management if in another dept’s domain • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the business by sharing insights, the root causes behind changes in KPI’s, the frequency and impact of these root causes and your recommendations to double down or course correct as needed • Exhibit a competitive mindset, always striving for success • Receptive to feedback, willingness to learn and embrace continuous improvement • Knows what results are important, and focuses resources to achieve them • Keenness and quickness in understanding and dealing with business situations • Strong experience with Salesforce or other CRM and sales technologies for forecasting, pipeline management, and sales acceleration • Bachelor's Degree required Creating a diverse and inclusive workplace is one of Motive's core values.
