We’re open to candidates globally, with a preference for those who can work overlapping US hours. About the Role: You’ll be the strategic lead for 4–6 DTC brands, responsible for defining direction, setting priorities, and ensuring every retention initiative aligns with the client’s business objectives. You’ll make informed decisions using customer behavior, lifecycle data, and core ecommerce metrics — while bringing the creative instincts needed to shape strong angles, offers, and campaign ideas. This role requires someone with strong strategic instincts — someone who can look at performance, understand the ecommerce model behind it, and translate that into a clear plan without needing extensive direction. You’ll also bring the communication skills and EQ to guide clients confidently, simplify complex ideas, and keep conversations productive and focused. You’ll operate with a high degree of autonomy, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on involvement where it meaningfully impacts quality or results. You should be comfortable navigating incomplete information, troubleshooting issues in real time, and moving work forward with sound judgment and clear communication. Day to day, you’ll spend a lot of time in Klaviyo — reviewing performance, pulling reports, pressure-testing segments, and translating lifecycle data into decisions clients can understand and act on. You should be comfortable discussing results and tradeoffs with CMOs and Marketing Directors, and confident taking a holistic view of each business beyond email alone. What You'll Own: Strategy & Planning You’ll craft the retention strategy for each account — mapping lifecycle priorities, designing monthly plans, shaping campaign angles, and setting clear direction. You’ll think holistically about CAC, LTV, purchase cadence, and user behavior, helping clients understand both the big picture and the specific next steps. As part of this work, you’ll also look for opportunities across email, SMS, direct mail, and emerging channels like WhatsApp to strengthen the overall retention ecosystem. Campaign & Email Automations You’ll guide campaigns from concept to launch, ensuring the angle, segmentation, testing plan, and creative direction all align with the broader strategy. You’ll stay hands-on enough to keep the work sharp while directing designers, copy partners, and ops toward a polished final product. For larger lifecycle projects, you’ll partner closely with our Flows Manager to ensure your strategic direction translates cleanly into technical execution and scalable flow builds. Performance & Reporting You’ll lead weekly recaps and monthly reviews (with analytics support from Hiro), identify wins and risks, and shape clear next steps. You’ll develop the performance narrative for each account, preparing thoughtful QBRs that tie decisions to revenue and LTV growth. Client Ownership You’ll run client calls, guide decisions, and navigate uncertainty with confidence. You’ll handle strategic questions, troubleshoot issues in real time, and keep clients focused on the right priorities. Your communication style should be steady, structured, and clear. Execution Support You won’t be doing everything alone. You’ll stay close to execution (especially early on) while production support ramps. Over time, more technical work shifts off your plate so you can stay focused on strategy. We’re looking for an Account Manager with a strategist’s mindset to own some of our most important client relationships. You’ll partner directly with founders, CMOs, and marketing teams to define strategy, translate insights into action, and ensure that everything we produce aligns with clear business outcomes. This is a remote position starting at ~20 hours per week, with the opportunity to transition to full-time. Now onto the nitty-gritty... What You’ll Do • Lead retention strategy across 3-5 clients. You’ll own the roadmap — defining goals, sequencing experiments, and ensuring every initiative ties back to measurable growth. • Translate strategy into execution. You’ll collaborate with our designers, copywriters, and ops team to bring campaigns and flows to life, ensuring every message is thoughtful, high-performing, and on-brand. • Guide testing and optimization. Who You Are • A natural relationship builder with strong strategic instincts — you think in systems, patterns, and long-term outcomes. • Experienced in DTC marketing, ideally within an email/SMS-focused agency or eCommerce brand. • Fluent in Klaviyo, and comfortable discussing deliverability, segmentation, and experimentation. • A clear communicator who brings positivity, curiosity, and ownership to every client interaction. • Equally comfortable zooming out to set direction and zooming in to make sure the details are right. Required Skills and Experience • 2+ years of experience with Klaviyo – Driving results for our clients is the most important thing we do. You must have experience creating email marketing strategies and be comfortable working in Klaviyo. You should love testing and using data to develop your strategy. • Fluent in English with a High EQ – Since you will be having weekly calls with American clients, you should be fluent in English. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are also crucial. • Next-level time management skills – You’ll be expected to juggle your own work schedule along with the schedules of team members operating across many different time zones. Working early EST hours may be required. • Excellent communication skills – Account Managers are great notetakers and comfortable conversationalists who intuitively understand how to best communicate with clients. Whether you’re writing a quick email or hopping on an hour-long call, you should be able to get your point across quickly and clearly. You’ll need excellent time management skills to meet deadlines and deliver outstanding results. • 2+ years experience in Account Management (or comparable consultancy experience) • A great strategic mind.
