Lead retention strategy and execution for multiple clients, manage client relationships and communication, oversee campaign deployment and optimization, and coordinate cross-functional teams to drive measurable growth.
2+ years experience with Klaviyo and account management, strong strategic mindset, excellent communication and time management skills, familiarity with e-commerce marketing and Shopify, and ability to work remotely across multiple time zones.
This is a remote contract role paid in USD. We’re ideally looking for someone based in Canada, the U.S. or LATAM for time-zone alignment. We believe that in a world of digital overload, customers crave genuine connections and delightful experiences. Our fun, smart, and driven team is passionate about delivering on this mission and helping our clients drive more customer acquisition and retention via Email, SMS, and direct mail marketing. Job Description Mineral.io (mineral.io) is a retention marketing agency and Klaviyo Elite Partner helping ambitious DTC brands turn one-time buyers into lifelong customers. We don’t just “manage” email and SMS programs — we build and execute retention strategies that drive sustainable, long-term growth. We’re looking for an Account Manager with a strategist’s mindset to own some of our most important client relationships. You’ll partner directly with founders, CMOs, and marketing teams to define strategy, translate insights into action, and ensure that everything we produce aligns with clear business outcomes. This is a remote position starting at ~20 hours per week, with the opportunity to transition to full-time. Now onto the nitty-gritty... What You’ll Do • Lead retention strategy across 3-5 clients. You’ll own the roadmap — defining goals, sequencing experiments, and ensuring every initiative ties back to measurable growth. • Translate strategy into execution. You’ll collaborate with our designers, copywriters, and ops team to bring campaigns and flows to life, ensuring every message is thoughtful, high-performing, and on-brand. • Guide testing and optimization. You’ll plan A/B tests, monitor performance, and connect insights to next steps — helping clients make smarter, data-backed decisions. • Manage projects and communication in ClickUp. You’ll keep timelines clear, expectations aligned, and deliverables moving — creating structure without micromanagement. • Act as a trusted advisor. You’ll join client calls, present strategic recommendations, and guide brands through complex retention challenges with clarity and confidence • Own the details that make strategy real. Whether QAing a campaign, reviewing segmentation logic, or refining a brief, you’ll sweat the small stuff because it all adds up to trust and results. Who You Are • A natural relationship builder with strong strategic instincts — you think in systems, patterns, and long-term outcomes. • Experienced in DTC marketing, ideally within an email/SMS-focused agency or eCommerce brand. • Fluent in Klaviyo, and comfortable discussing deliverability, segmentation, and experimentation. • A clear communicator who brings positivity, curiosity, and ownership to every client interaction. • Equally comfortable zooming out to set direction and zooming in to make sure the details are right. Required Skills and Experience • 2+ years of experience with Klaviyo – Driving results for our clients is the most important thing we do. You must have experience creating email marketing strategies and be comfortable working in Klaviyo. You should love testing and using data to develop your strategy. • Fluent in English with a High EQ – Since you will be having weekly calls with American clients, you should be fluent in English. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are also crucial. • Next-level time management skills – You’ll be expected to juggle your own work schedule along with the schedules of team members operating across many different time zones. Working early EST hours may be required. • Excellent communication skills – Account Managers are great notetakers and comfortable conversationalists who intuitively understand how to best communicate with clients. Whether you’re writing a quick email or hopping on an hour-long call, you should be able to get your point across quickly and clearly. You’ll need excellent time management skills to meet deadlines and deliver outstanding results. • 2+ years experience in Account Management (or comparable consultancy experience) • A great strategic mind. You love finding new ways to achieve our goals and thinking through new projects. • AI-Forward – you are knowledgeable about AI and use it daily. • Deep understanding of e-commerce marketing and the Shopify ecosystem. • You should be technical enough to communicate complex ideas to technicians and responsible enough to do your own quality control. Responsibilities • You'll attend client-facing meetings (PST and EST timezones) and take notes on calls • You'll communicate with clients for approvals and onboarding tasks in ClickUp • You'll request missing assets and approvals (from the clients) for the creative team • You'll organize your team's workflow across multiple accounts • You'll build and deploy email campaigns and automated flows • You'll manage the email deployment workflow and calendar, including management of creative and copy • You'll delegate and create action items for both your team AND your clients • You'll ensure deadlines are met by the team while considering their bandwidth • You'll maintain a strong relationship between clients and teammates • You'll oversee day-to-day email campaign execution, sometimes within tight deadlines, including set-up, segmentation, scheduling, testing, tagging, deployment, and reporting/analytics • You'll take charge of regular reporting on multiple accounts • You'll create and organize employee SOPs to increase team efficiency • You'll be vocal about your bandwidth, insight, thoughts, opinions, dreams, and more because you want to grow in your role, reach your optimal potential, and comfortably (frazzle-free!) bring only your best to the table • You'll be responsive via Slack for team collaboration to crush the day-to-day! What we offer • Unlimited PTO (for Full-Time team members) • Flexible hours (need to be out of the office on a Tuesday - cool) • Paid training • Growth opportunities • Diverse and growing team – we are based in NYC with a distributed team in Canada, Mexico, Colombia and Eastern Europe. • More...
