Oversee daily manufacturing operations, manage shipping and receiving, coordinate with vendors and customers, and ensure efficient workflow. | 3+ years in manufacturing operations, proficiency with QuickBooks and ERP, logistics knowledge, and leadership experience. | Operations Manager Our client is a well-established prototype sheet metal manufacturer with 17 years in operation, serving the military, aerospace, and automotive industries. We are seeking an experienced individual to take over day-to-day operations as the owner transitions to a reduced role. Key Responsibilities: • Supervise, direct, and schedule a team of 5 employees, ensuring productivity and accountability. • Assign daily tasks, provide clear directions to staff and coordinate daily workflow to keep operations running smoothly. • Manage all shipping and receiving operations. • Prepare shipping documents and customer invoices using QuickBooks. • Set up and manage FedEx and trucking shipments. • Communicate with customers, vendors, and carriers as needed. • Work within an ERP system to manage orders, inventory, and job tracking. • Source and coordinate outside services, including paint, heat treat, and other subcontracted processes. • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area. Requirements: • 3+ years of experience in operations management within manufacturing or shop environments. • Familiarity with either military, aerospace, or automotive manufacturing processes. • Proven ability to lead, direct, and motivate staff. • Proficiency with QuickBooks. • Experience working with an ERP system. • Knowledge of logistics, shipping, and freight coordination. • Military shipping knowledge (CMMC knowledge) is strongly preferred.

Direct customer or vendor interaction is sometimes required for these positions. Whether directing customers to store departments or merchandise, answering customer questions on product order status, handling cash management or program compliance, these positions play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction. Individuals in these positions must work cooperatively with other Associates, vendors, carriers, and productively with little / some supervision, be detail-oriented, and have proven time management skills. They must demonstrate a high level of integrity at all times, respond to operational concerns of all associates and remain focused on store specific business objectives while supporting key operational responsibilities. Specific positions may include : Office Associate, Order Fulfillment Associate, Lot Associate, and Customer Service Representative.
