Operations Manager Our client is a well-established prototype sheet metal manufacturer with 17 years in operation, serving the military, aerospace, and automotive industries. We are seeking an experienced individual to take over day-to-day operations as the owner transitions to a reduced role. Key Responsibilities: • Supervise, direct, and schedule a team of 5 employees, ensuring productivity and accountability. • Assign daily tasks, provide clear directions to staff and coordinate daily workflow to keep operations running smoothly. • Manage all shipping and receiving operations. • Prepare shipping documents and customer invoices using QuickBooks. • Set up and manage FedEx and trucking shipments. • Communicate with customers, vendors, and carriers as needed. • Work within an ERP system to manage orders, inventory, and job tracking. • Source and coordinate outside services, including paint, heat treat, and other subcontracted processes. • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area. Requirements: • 3+ years of experience in operations management within manufacturing or shop environments. • Familiarity with either military, aerospace, or automotive manufacturing processes. • Proven ability to lead, direct, and motivate staff. • Proficiency with QuickBooks. • Experience working with an ERP system. • Knowledge of logistics, shipping, and freight coordination. • Military shipping knowledge (CMMC knowledge) is strongly preferred.
