We are seeking a seasoned and passionate Salesforce Certified Application Architect to join our team as the strategic leader for our Salesforce platform. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business vision and technical reality, designing scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions. You will own the "inside-the-platform" architecture, translating complex business requirements into robust technical solutions that maximize Salesforce capabilities (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, etc.) while minimizing technical debt. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Solution Design: • Lead the architectural design of complex, enterprise-scale Salesforce implementations, ensuring long-term maintainability and scalability. Data Modeling & Visibility: • Design and implement complex data models, role hierarchies, and sharing mechanisms to secure data and optimize platform performance. • "Clicks-not-Code" Leadership: Evaluate business requirements to determine the best approach, favoring standard configuration ("clicks") over custom code, but directing custom development (Apex, LWC) when necessary. Technical Governance & DevOps: • Define and enforce standards for development, documentation, and deployment, ensuring CI/CD best practices are followed. • Stakeholder Management: Act as a trusted advisor to executives, product managers, and stakeholders, communicating technical designs to both technical and non-technical audiences. Mentor & Lead: • Mentor Salesforce developers, administrators, and consultants, reviewing their work to ensure compliance with architectural standards. • Release Management: Stay updated on Salesforce releases (3x per year) to proactively update architectural roadmaps and leverage new features. Required Qualifications: Certification: • Valid Salesforce Certified Application Architect designation (must have Platform App Builder, Data Architect, Sharing & Visibility Architect, and Platform Developer I). Experience: • 8+ years of experience in the Salesforce ecosystem, with at least 3-4 years in a senior architect or design role. • Technical Knowledge: Expert-level knowledge of Salesforce Lightning Platform, declarative automation (Flows), Apex, and Lightning Web Components (LWC). • Integration Understanding: Strong understanding of Salesforce integration patterns (REST/SOAP API) and middleware tools (e.g., MuleSoft). Education: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). Preferred Skills & Experience: • Experience in a multi-cloud environment (Sales, Service, Marketing, Experience Cloud). • Experience with Salesforce Industries (e.g., Vlocity/OmniStudio). • Experience with Salesforce DevOps tools (e.g., Copado, Gearset, SFDX). • Background in agile development methodologies. Candidate will provide functional and/or technical analyses, IT lifecycle management guidance, and expertise to ensure systems remain sustainable and that application system changes are incorporated properly. Candidate will be a member of a strong team consisting of Government personnel and Contractor personnel of Subject Matter Experts (SME). This position has a full-time telework but can be instructed by Government to report onsite (Kettering, Ohio facility). Telework status could change to hybrid in the future.
