This role works across product and engineering teams to shape scalable, secure, and maintainable systems that align with business priorities and delivery needs. The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader who can turn complex requirements into clear architectural direction, reduce ambiguity, and help teams make sound design decisions. This is not primarily an implementation-focused role. While hands-on technical depth is important, this person is expected to lead architecture strategy, establish design standards, guide teams through complex technical decisions, and ensure solutions are built with long-term reliability, security, and operability in mind. Required Qualifications: • Senior-level experience designing and evolving enterprise or business-critical software architectures in agile delivery environments. • Strong hands-on experience with cloud-based solution design in Azure and application ecosystems built with .NET and C#. • Proven success setting technical direction across multiple teams, systems, or workstreams. • Strong understanding of distributed systems, API design, integration patterns, data flows, and event-driven architecture concepts. • Strong understanding of security, reliability, resiliency, observability, and maintainable system design. • Experience leading technical design reviews and translating business goals into pragmatic architecture decisions. • Ability to balance long-term architectural direction with near-term delivery realities and implementation constraints. • Proven ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and influence decisions across technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and functions. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience supporting platforms in small business, financial services, payments, or related regulated environments. • Experience with technologies such as Kafka, Snowflake, AI-enabled services, or similar event-driven and data-intensive platforms. • Experience with platform modernization, shared services, and enterprise integration strategy. • Experience establishing architecture governance practices, technical standards, or long-range technical roadmaps. • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Codex, Claude, Copilot, or similar platforms. What Success Looks Like: • Establishes clear architectural direction that teams can execute against with confidence. • Reduces ambiguity and rework by making sound design decisions early and communicating them clearly. • Improves scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability across CashFlow Central solutions. • Helps teams deliver faster by introducing reusable patterns, better standards, and pragmatic technical guardrails. • Builds trust as a technical leader who connects business goals to practical, durable architecture decisions.
