What You'll Do As a Senior Data Engineer at Imagine Pediatrics, you will design, build, refactor, and maintain the data models and pipelines that power product, clinical analytics, and operational reporting across the organization. This role requires a mix of technical expertise and analytical thinking, applying engineering best practices to transform raw data from a variety of sources into well-defined, consumable datasets and making them accessible in multiple systems. You will: Design and build scalable, well-tested DBT models. Develop and maintain scalable ELT pipelines, ensuring observability and reliability across workflows while leveraging multiple languages and frameworks. Write performance-aware SQL, understand query execution, and identify and resolve bottlenecks in queries and pipelines. Improve existing patterns in the codebase and establish new ones. Partner with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to understand data needs and provide actionable paths forward. Work closely with engineers across teams to resolve dependencies, facilitate alignment on technical decisions, and mentor other engineers. Document logic, business rules, and methodology to promote transparency and enable teammates to reference and build on your work. Required 5–7+ years of healthcare data engineering or analytics engineering experience, with expert-level SQL proficiency and strong data modeling fundamentals. Strong experience with dbt and orchestration tools. Experience with cloud data warehouses, preferably Snowflake, including performance-aware SQL development and query optimization. Experience designing scalable data models, including incremental approaches, and implementing comprehensive testing strategies. Comfort working with the command line and modern engineering practices, including version control, CI/CD, testing, and code review. Proven ability to troubleshoot complex data issues across ingestion, transformation, and warehouse layers, and to communicate findings and solutions effectively to technical and non-technical audiences. Proven ability to reason about the downstream analytical impact of pipeline and model design, including data freshness, grain, and transformation behavior. Preferred Proficiency in Python for automation, tooling, or pipeline development. Experience building API-based and event-driven ingestion systems. Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, SQS, SNS, and S3. Experience working with FHIR resources and clinical systems. Experience with high-volume ingestion tools (e.g., Hevo, Fivetran, or similar). What You’ll Do The Care Team Assistant provides clerical support and ensures the provision of quality and compassionate evidence-based care in a Value-Based Care environment. In this position, you will: Accept incoming phone calls and return calls from patients involving clinical inquiries for responsible providers, perform protocol-based triage as appropriate, and route phone calls in the form of a phone note document in the EHRS to the provider for review and instructions Place calls and create template-based letters, as directed by the provider, regarding all lab results for delivery to the patient in a timely manner Review schedule on a daily basis to ensure that all pre-visit preparations have been completed prior to the patient's visit, ensuring lab and imaging results, consultation reports, care transition details, or major changes in health status are available in the patient’s medical record; when these documents are not present in the record, it will be the Care Team Assistant’s responsibility to call the patient, consultants, imaging centers, and/or hospitals to arrange for timely delivery of said information Call patients deemed to be at risk for a “no-show” prior to their appointment as well as new patients establishing care for their onboarding visit to remind them of both the patient’s and Imagines’ responsibilities; contact "no-show" patients and inquire as to their status and need for rescheduling, including assessment of barriers to care and initiation of appropriate social service referrals Monitor and respond to questions and escalations in CareHub and other internal platforms Review TOC lists and assist with determining discharge dates Contact patients to schedule follow-up appointments Monitor and respond to questions and escalations in Teams chats Assist care team in regular completion of reports that will allow it to manage and assess the health needs of the patient population; assist care team in recognizing patients who are members of a "vulnerable population" and provide appropriate social service or community-based referrals.
