As a Product Analyst in the Product Management organization, you will be responsible for analyzing business trends and evaluating performance across a number of different lines of business. These lines of business include GL, Property, Cyber, and E&O within our Digital platform. You will also get exposure to E&O and Cyber within our Broker distribution channel. You will help the product management team set the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, and work closely with cross-functional stakeholders such as engineering, design, marketing, sales, underwriting, claims, and customer service to deliver world-class products that meet the needs and expectations of our target segments. You will also have the responsibility for building tools and capabilities to ensure quality, consistency, and efficiency across all product initiatives. The role sits within the wider Product and Portfolio Management organization and will work closely with the 20-person team, as well as other teammates across the business. The Main Duties and Responsibilities of This Role Include: • Conducting market research and analysis to identify customer segments, needs, pain points, opportunities, and trends in the small commercial insurance space • Building tools and capabilities that help the organization monitor and evaluate performance of various initiatives across all lines of business • Measuring and monitoring the product performance and customer satisfaction using quantitative and qualitative methods • Partnering closely with Actuarial teammates to perform annual rate review analysis • Collaborating with underwriting and distribution teammates to develop go-to market strategies, and monitor the effectiveness of various initiatives Person Specification: • 2+ years of experience in product management, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, risk management, engineering, computer science, or related field • Experience in the Small Commercial or Personal Insurance market • Experience with analytical tools / programming languages and databases (examples: R, Python, and SQL) • Highly analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to use quantitative and qualitative methods to measure product performance and customer satisfaction • Agile and adaptive working style, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment If you are looking for a challenging and rewarding career opportunity in a growing and innovative company that values your skills and expertise as a product leader apply now! Lead and perform comprehensive business analysis activities, mentor analysts, and promote best practices to support large-scale insurance initiatives. | Over 8 years of business analysis experience, with a focus on operational and data analysis, but lacking specific insurance sector expertise and direct leadership in business analysis roles. | About the position The Business Analysis Director will operate at both strategic and execution levels—partnering with business and technology stakeholders to define solutions that drive meaningful impact across our insurance value chain. In this role, you’ll be hands-on in performing business analysis activities while also mentoring analysts, shaping best practices, and raising the overall standard of analysis across projects. This position is critical to enabling successful delivery of initiatives that improve underwriting, operations, claims, and customer experience. Responsibilities • Hands-On Business Analysis Execution: Lead and personally perform end-to-end business analysis activities for key initiatives—requirements elicitation, business process analysis, gap analysis, and future-state design. • Translate complex business needs into clear and concise business, functional, and non-functional requirements. • Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and working sessions to define problems, uncover opportunities, and validate solutions. • Collaborate closely with product managers, project managers, developers, and QA teams to ensure requirements are understood, testable, and traceable. • Leadership & Best Practices: Serve as the lead BA on large-scale programs or multiple smaller projects, balancing execution with oversight responsibilities. • Define and promote BA standards, tools, and templates that align with delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid). • Provide coaching, mentoring, and peer reviews for other BAs to support high-quality outputs and consistent practices. • Champion continuous improvement by identifying areas for efficiency and standardization in business analysis practices. • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a strategic partner to business leaders, ensuring that solutions are aligned with business goals and deliver measurable value. • Bridge the gap between business and technology to ensure shared understanding and successful delivery. • Support change readiness activities by contributing to training, communication, and adoption planning as needed. Requirements • 8+ years of hands-on business analysis experience, including leading analysis efforts for large or complex initiatives. • Strong understanding of insurance operations, ideally within the Small Commercial or P&C sector (underwriting, claims, policy admin, etc.). • Proven ability to deliver high-quality requirements artifacts and facilitate cross-functional collaboration. • Experience with process modeling, data analysis, and workflow documentation tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, Jira, Confluence, SQL). • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, either through direct management or mentorship of BAs. Nice-to-haves • CBAP, PMI-PBA, or similar certification is a plus.
